I would imagine there are others who play mostly silver.  Not because they can't play gold or even plat., but because silver is just more fun.  They, like me, probably have a pretty high success rate on gold....even in pugs.

On silver I can move out of cover without getting one or two shot constantly.  I can arm different weapons and play a wider variety of characters.  I don't have to rely on consumables, or teammates, or equip top of the line gear/weapons.

Gold and plat are not better gameplay imho, just more bosses.  Perhaps if BW comes up with something besides "the horde" relentlessly attacking, I'll play gold and plat.  Until then, I'll stick to mostly silver.

The gold and plat. players will continue to look down their noses at us silver players, smug in their preceived superiority.  However, there are alot of silver players who can easily compete in gold and plat., we just choose not to.

Lastly, some of us silver players lead by example.  We try to train the new arrivals from bronze how to be better players through teamwork and cooperation.  It's amazing to see people who run around trying to be top score for the first 2 waves, following me around for protection by wave 4 or 5.  We keep them alive so they can learn through success rather than failure.  Others don't want to learn.....nothing we can do about that.

Anyway, I'm a sliver player.  My feet are propped up and I'm not stressed.  Just having fun.....cheers!

I can see that.  From what I understand, your one of the better players in the game.  I play mostly pugs though. Too stressful for me when playing gold with peeps who should of learned more in silver.  I actually have to work to finish the match....not fun.

I only play silver pugs. I only do gold with friends, which isn't that often.

Amen brother. I only play gold or platinum when I'm asked to, otherwise I play Silver. It's pretty funny cause I can easily use level 1 classes. I have two accounts. One with a N7 over 6000, with every weapon, and like 600 on the other. Armed with a Carnifex IX, he gets booted out of games. Too many score ****s and self righteous peeps. I prefer Silver's laid back atmosphere.

Tyeme Downs, you and me both. I do just fine in Gold, but I prefer the less serious-face of Silver. I can play whatever inefficient class I want and still be a contributing player. I prefer the run & gun play style that works so well. I love being able to solo-Rambo if all of my team mates are terrible. It's just more fun for me.

Now, if a bunch of my friends are putting together a PUG, I'll do gold with them. With 4 skilled players, Gold is a cakewalk as well. But I prefer the random fail that accompanies pubs, and that is where Silver shines.

I agree with silver being a nice moderator, it's just annoying when bad silver players join gold.

I love to play gold PUGs so as to help others gain gear,weapons, etc. but when you top score literally all the time and eventually get downed on wave 9/10 it's frustrating trying to carry teams. I respect many silver players who know what they're doing, yet there are so many that have no idea what Team Synergy is.

I only play gold for operations, and only if gold is a requirement for it. Otherwise, I'm in silver, sometimes even in bronze if I feel like earning some credits while napping.

No worries OP, I pull Silvers to warm up and when I don't feel like dealing with finding a nonfarming Gold match. Just settle back and enjoy the ride. I don't even push particularly hard on Silvers unless the team is having trouble.

Lately it's almost gotten too easy though. And that worries me. I LIKE silver, I don't want to look at Gold that way. Too many people take gold way to serious for that

That and too many lazy scrubs hit gold and plat for the payouts, looking to get carried. PUGs aren't that big of an issue in silver, though, when you can't get a team together for the big payouts.

I mostly play Silver too unless I have some Pals online who wanna make some money.

Much Like you -

I find in Silver I can:

- PUG all the time, and still be succesful
- Leave cover without being shot twice and be downed.
- Use any character w/any weapon set up and still squash the enemy
- Take a lvl 1 in and lvl them up quickly.
- Rarely need to use consumables.

I just start at the Adept and make my way down all the classes choosing a new one each time. Once I complete a game with the Vangaurd, I make purchases.

I was a Gold Grinder for awhile, but only for the money and my run on PSP's over the last 3 weeks has been atrocius, so I just started playing this way. It may not be as challenging, but if players drop I know that I can solo it if need be, and I think it's just more enjoyable to be able to play not so handcuffed.

Just my opinion though.

Agree with OP, Silver is more relaxing and consoumable-free. I have a higher chance of success with PUG Silver match means my time is not totally wasted. If they're all down then I can solo the round as needed.

More enjoyable. that's all.

I know how ya feel. I play bronze every now and then just to feel near on invincible, and action hero-ey.

Sure the pay is low, but the fun is higher.

Silver's the last great difficulty for trying to be a badass, honestly. Gold will not let you be reckless very often without making you pay for it.

Add in another vote here, I've actually had heaps of fun running Silver as most of my friends list have moved on from ME3 now.

I can run classes and weapons that I know would not pull their weight in Gold, and I feel bad not being as efficient as I could be in a gold match.

Silver is great when I come home from work and am absolutely zonked, I can still easily pull my weight and get the team through the match without having to think too hard about what I'm doing.

I'd like to have a friends crew for running gold right now as I'm struggling with character unlocks, but PUG gold can be horribly time ineffecient and time is what I don't have enough of with work in the way

Gold is so freaking easy now with the n7 characters. Gold is the silver for me now.

Platinum I get extraction 3 out of 10 times on Firebase white with PUGs.

Platinum is almost impossible with PUGs on any other map - for the exception of Vancouver

Much better with friends.

Platinum being loads of "bosses" makes some powers almost irrelevant (like Pull ), and powerful weapons a neccessity. Don't get me wrong, it's fun... but you can't exactly be messing around with eccentric builds or niche tactics - it's all about DPS. Sort of makes a lot of fun class builds very difficult to play.

Gold gives a nice fun balance overall.
