It's an actual mechanic that you as a player has to react to or else be punished because of something you did as a team, not something the RNG did.

this makes sense, I think for a private games with all friends this is much less of an issue, however for any random pickup group, this makes the game much worse.

i think applause is in order. not blame.
they know better by now, and if they don't they'll be learning soon.

Sorry, bro. Them's the breaks. If one difficulty becomes too difficult, that's why there are other difficulties.

Constructivity isn't necessary when the answer is that simple.

Difficulty levels exist for a reason. Not everyone is supposed to be able to play every difficulty. If the buff makes it too hard to complete gold, then maybe you SHOULD switch to silver, instead of just stopping entirely. He DID make a constructive comment, he's suggesting you an alternative to not playing.

Also, I was stomped by an atlas through a wall, around a corner, and at least 15 meters away [assuming you cut the corner in calculation.] How the hell is a team mate supposed to help with that? On top of all that, I've had several times where something will stomp me while im still collapsing onto the ground, leaving team mates not time to react.

Maybe some of these glitches should be fixed first before making a 'bug fix' or 'buff' like this?

That's an unfortunate risk of playing with randoms is that they aren't going to be good or they aren't going to be teamplayers. That's how it goes in every game where you play with randoms. There isn't really anything that can be done about it, unless Bioware starts creating 2 different versions of each difficulty, one for randoms and one for premades.

I play randoms quite a bit, so I take that risk quite a bit myself.

No no, you are safe from swarmer stomps ;) I also think Ravengers, Banshees, husks, and phantoms can't stomp you either.

No no, you are safe from swarmer stomps ;) I also think Ravengers, Banshees, husks, and phantoms can't stomp you either.


What about Marauders, Cannibals,  Hunters, Pyros, Rocket Troopers etc?

If they all have gained a stomp I think that is too much

Its not even running off alone though.  Last night in gold games, we had people go down fifteen feet from another player, but there're would be two troopers running to the downed guy, and fighting to stomp them :blink:  Unless you had a grenade or stunning weapon ready they'd get stomped before you can reach them / kill two troopers.

I think stomping IS a good thing on Gold/plat, but the bleed out counter should still be useful too...  They feel too stompy at the moment.

I like this move, but if an enemy is being shot at by your teammate and is STILL making a beeline to stomp your melon, that's too much. Enemies should only stomp when there are no other players in LoS.

Isn't that sort of like saying that they shoot at you too much? :P They're trying to wipe the team and I love the aggression that they've put on stomping and taking out a team mate until the next round, it's made Gold much more interesting and frantic anytime a team mate goes down that's away from the group.

 Yet you choose to come onto a public forum to complain. Not the best strategy if you value your privacy, you leave yourself open to the comments of the community. That being said, I tend to agree that this is not a huge problem except when players decide to branch off and not stick together. One can also use their consumables to revive themselves in the worst case scenarios. You just have to make a tactical decision, stay down and risk being stomped to gain an opening to flee, or risk getting gibbed as you're reviving. I have to admit, I like that it forces people to revive themselves instead of lying about waiting for your team mates to endanger themselves to come and get you because you decided to run off.

I was fine with having geth troopers and assault troopers stomp you.  But making nearly everything able is overkill

I know I've been stomped by a Hunter today, [either that or an invisible trooper... xD] Can't confirm on the other ones really. I don't play silver/bronze or get stomped enough to really know. x.x

It's not just the people that run out that get stomped, especially with the moving objectives.

Medigel is already scarce enough for me, I don't want to have to use 5 times as more on things I could have waited out. :pinched:

Just as an FYI, the only enemies that should be able to stomp you are:

Cerberus Trooper
Atlas
Geth Trooper
Cannibal

and for them to stomp you, they need to run up to you and give you the boot... except the Atlas, who feeds you the drill hand... or the Cannibal who pukes on you (this one is currently kind of finnicky though). :happy:

 thank you for the clarification, this thread was beginning to make me think id be getting stomped by everything from banshees to geth turrets.
