As for op... I think it'll actually encourage people to work together.

You're a liability in the first place if you go down across the map. I've seen teams wiped from trying to help a lone wolf.

Now you don't have much hope of not being executed if you're alone. I'll be happy if even one lone wolf tones it down a bit, not saying you are or anything. Other than that...

Deal with it.

Hmm, well that's not supposed to be the case. I'll poke some folks at the office tomorrow and see if we can get some more info.

sometimes the animation just doesnt show. Does not take away from the fact that...if you die and an atlas walks up to you......go refil your water and take the dog out. It doesn't break anything, the atlas still has to be in close proximity to do you in.

I love how people say that playing another difficulty isn't constructive. I mean, c'mon now. People who are hollering about this simply won't buy JEP packs or change the way they play. Granted, the store can be ridiculous, but still, don't be stingy or don't expect to revived all the time ( hence playing another difficulty so you aren't dying, constructive ain't it?)

I think it is pretty ridiculous, but it forces more of the lazy players who wont get off their [butts] to revive a fallen player. Only once have I had it where I went down and did not have a chance to even hit the medi-gel button as there was no time between going down and execution. This change adds a new level of strategy and planning to the team based multiplayer game that I think makes it more challenging. I dont think it would be nearly as bad if players didnt run off on their own in gold / platinum trying to be a one man army.

Yesterday I died next to a few geth troopers. I immediately medi geled and successfully escaped. However I noticed that even though I geled instantly, one of the troopers already had his foot up in the air. What the hell. Had I waited, literally, half a second, I would've been stomped.

I stuck with my team yesterday and whenever I went down and an enemy came up to me they couldn't stomp me because my teammates would stagger him/her/it or kill him/her/it. It was ridiculous though, as soon as I went down the whole enemy team's top priority was to stomp me and to happily let the team fill them with led.

Oh it's working bud, after hundreds of games I saw it first hand, either yesterday or the day before while next to a friend that went down in silver, we were both shocked as it happened so fast and neither of us saw it before, it's all good....just change the way we deal with them.

Well, while I personally found gold and platinum to be challenging enough without this change, there were a LOT of people moaning how platinum and gold were not hard enough. Its a fair bit harder now I daresay..

I love the addition to gold and platinum. The atlas and foot troopers have more utility so you can't quite Rambo early waves like you could in the past. Big improvement IMO.

Pretty often a player is stomped before the announcer guy can even finish his sentence about a player being down.

I'd be ok with it, if the enemies didn't go out of their way to get the execution. It's pretty frustrating to go revive someone with 5 guys all looking at you because they are trying to stomp a teammate.

Stomping should be removed from the game. It does not improve the challenge or game-play experience. It's just frustrating and annoying. Putting yourself in harm's way to revive a teammate is enough challenge. Medi-gel use is limited. Stomping is totally unnecessary.

Was always there in Silver and Bronze. I do not have a problem with the stomping.

Encourages more teamwork. Makes lone wolf Rambo types pay a bit more for not being a team player.

Honestly I haven't really noticed this at all. Because there are nearly zero of these enemies in the majority of Platinum waves (a few Troopers in like wave 1) save the Atlas, which is slow moving and loud enough you should hear it coming even through spacebar-mashing.

Things are probably different on Gold, but after Platinum, Gold feels like such a walk in the park that if I die, I deserved it.

The best "feature" in this game is using a medi-gel, getting stomped, and then you die AND it takes the medi-gel.

Cannibal execute players? Ha! That has been bugged to not working sense the MP BETA in the Single Player DEMO

I don't mind having stomping in the game, but enemies are tempted to do it too much. I've seen enemies prioritise stomping over shooting other players.

Oh man, fix cannibal executions. That sounds awesome.

Also - OP, I play with randoms on gold all the time. They aren't that awful to the point where you should be getting stomped endlessly unless you are running straight into death away from your team.

This, I also play with randoms on Gold and it really is not that much of a deal.

Also, if I know I'm alone die in the middle of a crossfire on my own damn fault and I'm about to get stomped, then there are medigels, you know?

This.  If I get executed, it's always within a second - else I would medi gel before the boot!  I don't think "staying with the team" is a viable argument here - it's not like your team mates can immediately just drop what they're doing to help you even if you /are/ right beside them.  Executions should be less aggressive - insta kills are bad enough without a mechanism which is a hair away from being the same thing.

Hmm.. there is one solution for the thread maker. Return to silver difficulty. Your complaint is absolutely pathetic. There's a reason there is multiple difficulties. I play plat difficulty all the time and have NO problems what so ever with stomps. You're just not good enough for this difficulty. Accept it and move back to bronze/silver.

I thought the Cannibals not executing was more of a balance thing.  You know, Reapers, the hardest faction stays balanced by not executing.  Well, them not puking on you might be fixed next patch.

you know, the whole atlas changing targets to execute a character.. reminds me of the bug of left4dead.. where AI tanks would target a single enemy until they're completely dead..
it was patched and it then ignored downed players and went to down the others..
