New class idea: ex-cerberus engineer with cerberus turret

 Other powers could be ed and overload for example or ed and incinerate.

Edit with more ideas:  I really think this character is a great idea. What the other powers are is open for debate but it would definately be fun to play!
Perhaps a stationary defense specialist with cerberus turret and shield generator and/or supply pylon and/or a overload.
The shield generators could be like in sp where they can be destroyed by the enemy amd any player can reactivate them. Evolutions could increase shields restored, radius, the shields of the generator or the number of generators.
I would really enjoy playing a character like this i think.

If the turrets are the same as the enemy turrets then this class would be OP. Just get 4 of these guys and place 4 turrets right by each other then just repair the turrets. No shooting necessary, and the turrets will drop every trooper class enemy in half a second.

Not true they have atlas or primes or w/e also they do pause after shooting for a while at coverage ..just on bronze they'd destroy everything .

My idea for it was: Ex-Cerberus engineer
Defense Drone:heals allies, attacks enemies close by.
Neural Shock
Hand Cannon: fire an electric/flame beam at the enemy ( similar to snap freeze/flamer in CD)

you have the Phoenix Project, the Shadow, the Fury and Demolisher. and the Harrier Rifle, and you want more Cerberus Themed stuff?

N7 Paladin.
Salarian Engineer.
Human Engineer.

classes that have Incinerate: 7

classes that have ED/Overload: 5

classes that already have a turret, all with different uses (although not stationary): 3

We do not need to see these skills used any more.

And I think the OP meant the other powers *Could Be* incinerate/ED/overload because those are stardard engineer powers.
Personally I am interested to see a stationary based high damage dealing turret that you do deploy and not toss at the enemies. Maybe at a higher cooldown similar to the pylon.

Give him a Cerberus Turret. Really it wouldn't be that broken seeing as though grenades and boss characters would ruin it in about half a second, and it could have a long cooldown.

Then give him Defense Drone and Defense Matrix.

Balance the turret like the rest of the turrets. This time give it a 5 or 10 round burst to make it more vulnerable. I say 5 to 10 because a 3 round burst for a turret is just ridiculous. Obviously the Ex-Cerb engineer will HAVE to have overload. There's no way around that. Its the third skill that's the hardest.

Neural shock was an Adept power wasn't it? Ill have to look into it. But I like the defensive drone. Maybe the Ex-Cerb could have something like the N7 Demolisher's Homing Grenade but in electric form to replace Overload??

Any ideas?

But only Phoenix are EX-cerberus. Others are not.

If there was to be an Ex-Cerberus Engineer, I'd want him to have some kind of repair ability. It's one of the more interesting and unique skills the enemy Cerberus unit has, after all.

What if it was his only offensive ability and had as long a cooldown as Supply Pylon? It would at least require some thought and knowledge of spawns and maps to use it efficiently.

I don't know how doable it would be to add those things to MP, but being able to set up cover for your squad anywhere would be amazing, especially for hacking objectives.

what? How is the fury even remotely related?

I could see Shadow and Demolisher, but those aren't either. Only Project Phoenix is Cerberus.

It would make goddess a little easier in the middle of the room with zero cover. Not only could you use them for cover but you could also use them to block path ways so the enemies would have to go through another way.

I was just thinking about this..
I think it's not a bad idea.. powerful turrets that have long reload times even with +200% would work.. and no not OP.. they can get destroyed and when they're destroyed you're gonna have to wait the reload time to place another..

Since they did an Earth DLC,I'm hoping for a Tuchanka DLC with a krogan engineer using a variation of the defense drone, an automated shoulder cannon.

I'd like to see at least a Tier 6 upgrade changing the ammunition so it fires rounds like the falcon. A slower fire rate could keep it from being overpowered, maybe 1 per second, with a 25% speed penalty (not 50% since krogan are the strongest physically of the races)
