Also, I don't see how it could be 'abused' if it only refunds and/or pays you if you were DISCONNECTED. There is a difference between rage quitting and getting kicked due to a server connection issue. If you quit manually ingame you shouldn't get anything. But if you were kicked because of matters out of your control, why not receive at least some compensation for your efforts. It seems reasonable to me.

75,000/120,000+ credits and a half hour of my time goes down the drain.
Mostly when someone is disconnected he/she joins us again and loose only xp, but most of us use lv. 20 characters for gold/platinum, so they do not loose anything.
btw - I do not have disconnects during game more than once a month.
If I play with friends I MIGHT be able to join again (sometimes after I disconnect I can't rejoin), with randoms I have no chance. Furthermore if I disconnect in wave 8-10 I loose a lot of credits, not only xp. Do you really think it is fun to get less than half the credits (and a ridiculous low score) for a full game? And do you think it is fun for my teammates to loose a player in wave 10?
I get a disconnect in the first or second game every time I play. And then some. So yes, I support this petition wholeheartedly!

I agree with OP though, when I do get disconnected, I get pretty pissed off.

...atleast against gaining credits if you lose the conncetion
People will join a game even if they don't have the time left to play it through which will lead towards even more drop outs and unknown people joining during a game. Would be a death sentence during Platin missions

I think most of us would agree that the problematic players will be those who abuse the system to hop about games for easy credits in a short time.To curb such undesirables,a timeout could be implemented for those who leave(be it dc or quitting) ongoing matches.Say if one leaves a match halfway,he/she could be slapped with a 5 or 10 min timeout and barred from joining another match until it expires.
For those who need to bail on matches halfway due to real life issues, they are going to do it anyway, credits or no credits. So the timeout won't afffect this group.
For those of us experiencing disconnects,it will be an inconvenience but unless you are suffering from very frquent disconnects,it will be a once in a blue moon thing in exchange for having your credits everytime it occurs.

Pretty sure bioware could tell the difference between pressing quit mission and losing connection.
I think people would find a way of fooling them by disabling their pc's internet somehow, hence my suggestion of a penalty. I personally never use consumables but I can understand the frustration of losing them

I acknowledge people bailing on
matches halfway as a potential issue arising from it but I had in the
past suggested a measure to guard against it.

This is a good suggestion - I hope they atleast consider this.

Maybe they could only reimburse you on bronze, silver and gold to prevent this. Or possibly allow the host to choose if quitters keep their earnings (though admittedly everyone would probably choose "no")
Btw, does anyone know if Bioware takes the time to read threads like this?
