Agreed.

Sometimes I can play over 5 matches without a disconnect, other times (like this last week) I can barely finish one match. :/

Bumping because this issue needs to be addressed.  Sick of it being ignored by Bioware.

Reply ro Guash (from phone =they no quote): i agree, i'll keep my part of the deal, you keep yours. My boss pays me for the time I work. Even if it's slow & I'm sent home early he doesn't keep the entire day of wages.

This thread is not legit.
1. Needs the word OFFICIAL in the title
2. title must be in ALL CAPS
3. need to lure in a BioWare employee to post so that the BioWare sign appears under the title

Wow, im this is my last time using my phone to post. Wish i could edit my previous statement so it didn't seem to be attacking Guash. Sorry Guash, I only meant to agree with you. Everything after that was directed at BW

100% agree. Getting dc-ed should not cause credit or xp loss.

Any idea how to lure a Bioware employee to post?

Edit: I've also changed the title, if you think that'll help B)

I acknowledge people bailing on matches halfway as a potential issue arising from it but I had in the past suggested a measure to guard against it.

I think most of us would agree that the problematic players will be those who abuse the system to hop about games for easy credits in a short time.To curb such undesirables,a timeout could be implemented for those who leave(be it dc or quitting) ongoing matches.Say if one leaves a match halfway,he/she could be slapped with a 5 or 10 min timeout and barred from joining another match until it expires.

For those who need to bail on matches halfway due to real life issues, they are going to do it anyway, credits or no credits. So the timeout won't afffect this group.

For those of us experiencing disconnects,it will be an inconvenience but unless you are suffering from very frquent disconnects,it will be a once in a blue moon thing in exchange for having your credits everytime it occurs.

I love that suggestion becuase honestly even if someone quits right after a mission wave they still did the work for the mission wave so why not give them their credits and xp?  This also would help those people that get halfway through a match and have something come up where they have to leave right away.  I would also add though that the lockout should not apply to private games or rejoining the same public match, I have had disconnects from public matches hosted by my friend where he was able to invite me back before anyone took my place but I still lost all the credits I had earned during previous mission waves. I would be happy with anything at this point, I just "lost connection to Mass Effect 3 servers" after the game was over while loading into the after mission report and ended up losing out on 130,000 credits from a 32 minute platinum match.  It is getting a bit crazy because since the Earth DLC I lost connection to matches about 3-4 times a night and I have been farming platinum so that I can try to get the last two N7 classes I want to unlock.  It also seems that I only get disconnected after wave 10's mission is complete.

I. WOULD. LOVE. THIS.
The problem comes in people who want to abuse the system. Even if you lose it when quitting, people will deliberately disconnect themselves.

And if you DO lose it when quitting? That means when you see you are being disconnected, you have to then wait however long to be finally dropped (usually up to a full minute for me, sometimes less, sometimes more): currently you can just quit while you're behind to rejoin your friends as soon as possible since you're not getting shafted any less for doing so.

Hence my earlier suggestion to implement some form of timeout for those who leave(be it dc or quitting) ongoing matches.A 5 or 10 min timeout that prevents such players from joining or creating another match.

NO.

I already lose enough time trying to rejoin friends' matches when I get vanguard glitched (even when not vanguard), stuck in walls, 'undead', or dropped. We are punished enough as it is. I'd rather be able to rejoin my friends for Wave 10 than to get the token credits from Wave 3 then be locked out.

The more Bioware nerfs weapons/powers and buffs enemies, the more work is required to finish a damn game.

It matters now more than ever that we get something for the consumables being used up and the 20mins or so of greater effort put into the game before we "lose connection" to it all thanks to EA's pathetic servers.

Agreed. It's very frustrating to spend hours playing this game to get nothing thanks to random disconnects.

I say we should open up another thread and just type our origin IDs like a signature on a petition so bioware and mostly us can see how many people are affected by this. I just worry trolls will screw it up.

I am totally against that petition. Why ? Farming. Here's the method (for a gold game, idk about credit gain in platinium) :

1. Go to wave on gold.
2. Complete the objective. Gain 9k.
3. Host unplugs internet cable. Everyone is disconnected, wave is reset.
4. Previous host plug internet cable and join friends in the game.
5. Go back to step 2.

9k credits every 3 minutes or 180k an hour. Some people can do that easily, I'll admit it, but imagine what it would be on wave 10 gold with 4 Infiltrators and a 4 devices objectives : 35k every 3 minutes or 700k an hour.

That's why I'm completely against... And that's why I hope you'll be convinced. I admit it, it's a pain in the azz to be disconnected on wave 10 gold, but the system right now is good because it prevents to much exploits, the only flaw being EA servers...

I'll just say count me in on this unofficial official thing.

Hey it's not completely irrational to give ppl what they've played for anyway if they DC.

so just screw over the honest ones?  honestly though, I just want bioware to acknowledge this and see if they can attempt to fix it.  I understand some people will exploit it if there is some sort of compensation for the error, but this really sucks for people who are honestly having this issue.  If they do compensate, that is fine.  But if they don't, I am fine with that too as long as they acknowledge this issue and if they tell us they are working on resolving it.  I just want what I paid for to work.

I play Left 4 Dead, League of Legends, Day Z, Company of Heroes, Starcraft 2, Mount & Blade Warband, online daily.  Absolutely no issues.  This only happens with Mass Effect 3, so I can say with 100% certainty there is something going on on Bioware's end.

I also play a bunch of online games, including a couple of MMOs, and I can say that ME3 is -- by far -- the buggiest of the lot.  Random disconnects.  Unfixed bugs since launch, and consistent server issues.

If I wasn't so in love with the ME universe, I would have left this game a long time ago.
