As above what is the ideal bonus power for the sentinel class for insanity mode of mass effect 2?
I dont see the point in the geth shield as i already have tech armor.
Also can the sentinel detonate biotic explosions on me2?

IIRC about the only class that can self detonate warp explosions is an adept, other classes have to have a squad mate to help. So if you're looking for warp explosions you want a squad mate with pull, such as Samara, or Jack. Both make wonderful pull bots.
As far as bonus powers, if you have Lair of the Shadowbroker, stasis is a great power. If not neural shock is a one point wonder.

And stasis/neural shock can be replaced by energy drain on synthetic missions, like Tali's recruitment mission on Haestrom

So i will go for Adept i enjoyed mass effect 1 with adept so hopefully its good on me2,so now i just got to chose between statis and energy drain for the adept.

Adept is good for Insanity in ME1 as far as my experience goes, but I haven't finished and can't import into ME2 yet. I've heard that Adept is not optimal for ME2 Insanity. The second game does not have as many powers available, no singularity, no stasis unless you have LotSB dlc, etc.
I would go for Cryo Blast 1 point just to take care of unshielded enemies fast, or else full Incinerate for armored enemies.

You have Singularity on ME2 as an adept i just tried the adept and it seems stronger than a sentinel as i was killing faster and you can get statis if you import a game i had that also.

Stasis, Energy Drain, Warp Ammo are all ok.
You can play Sentinel just resetting Tech Armor over and over to increase your squad's power use.

I've been using AP ammo, it's pretty sweet actually. Complements overload/warp nicely.
