Awesome job BioWare.  Why would you have all you games EXCEPT Dragon Age 2 automatically keep your save games?  I finished it, uninstalled it, an dit delete the save game folder in My Documents.

Figure out how to give me all that time back now.  You should be sued for that blantant bout of stupidity.  How the hell do you forget something like that.

What a bunch of morons.

There is an option to uninstall the game without deleting save games. The save games are in a totally different folder (unless you install everything in one computer drive :/) partitions ftw.
For me, my save games automatically saved in my C drive >.< (my documents>bioware>etc...); and my game was installed to my D drive. Quite annoying if you partition your drive like I have >.<.
Also, the save games take up A LOT of computer memory. The DA2 saves take up less memory, the Origins saves take up so goddamn much memory.

Origin has an option to save DA2 games to cloud storage, so if you're using it, it's possible that your saves still exist.

I always back up my saves when I finish a game, but if you're worried about carrying over choices to DA3, Gibbed might make another save game generator. Honestly, I got better results using that than my actual save games from DA:O when importing to DA2.

But it does not.
I remember unistalling it quite often due to problems with my pc and HD and still having my playthrougs intact.

It does ask if you want to delete your saves or not

My advice, next time choose "NO".

The game ask if you want to delete your save games. It is not Bioware's fault if you did not read the warning and say No. Also since the save games are saved to a different folder you can back it up with no problem. DA2 may have problems but this is not one of them.

The game never asked. I am aware of enough to look for those things and it did not ask at all.
