I recently lost my awakening disc in a move but still have my origins disc. I'm only interested in playing origins but I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to uninstall awakening without reinstalling origins all together - and I can't remember if origins installed with one disc or not.
Help?
(also, origin and an electronic copy is a no go on a phone, otherwise I wouldn't be posting here.)
Lost Awakening disc- how to uninstall?

What possible reason would you have to "uninstall" DAA? Either game will start fine with the other's disc in the drive. And as a Registered game owner, you can reinstall either or both via the EA: Origin digital download store for free...

I'm unable to play origins without the DAA disc- according to the error message when I try to play origins. If you'd read, I lack a computer with internet to download from EA. Downloading an entire pc game on a DROID isn't exactly feasible.

No, actually, I am pretty sure the vanilla versions of the game required the Awakening disc to be in the drive. Could be wrong... it's been a while.Thandal NLyman wrote...

Your original post was not very clear....
So wait... you have the DA:Origins disc and you want to only play Origins? What is stopping you from uninstalling the game and reinstalling just Origins?

Well, it's been a while since I did it, but I think it worked for me.
Just tested: I have nothing but the retail disc versions, but I have ALL of them (I think). The UE is what's currently installed, and it allowed me to start a new game of Awakening using the original disc from; DA:O, or DA:A, or DA:UE, and even the DA:O Collector's Edition.
(True, I didn't try using the "Additional Content" disc from the UE...

I believe the UE works differently, as there's only one CD Key listed in the registry for it; installing both of the old retail discs (Origins and Awakening) lists two, IIRC.

Right, I'm sure that's the case.RaenImrahl wrote...

But since that one Registry setting can't possibly have the keys from any and all valid discs a player might have lying around, (I never even installed the Collector's Edition on this PC, just have the disc itself) I think the authorization routine just looks for ANY legitimate disc at Start.
Anybody out there with a retail disc install of both DAO and DAA (but NOT the UE) want to confirm whether or not both games will start with the other game's disc in the drive?
