So, I had th soundtrack issue plus the problems with downloading the extra content.  I actually got the fix from these forums for the DLC (see the sticky at the top of this forum).  I had to laugh when I read the message from EA with 'their' solution to the problem....

Hi,

Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts.

Please
accept my apologies for any delay in responding to your query. Due to
the release of this popular game we are receiving more contacts than
usual. Though we are trying our level best to get back to all of our
customers as soon as possible a few delay is inevitable.

As per
your request I have entitled the soundtrack in your account and now you
should download the latest EADM to access their soundtrack:
http://store.ea.com. Once you logged in, you can locate the soundtrack as a sub-heading of the Dragon Age entry.Enjoy the games!!

I
apologize for any inconvenience. If you are having trouble connecting
online or staying connected while playing the game on your Sony
PLAYSTATION 3, please perform the troubleshooting tips listed below:-

1.Turn
off your modem and leave it un powered for two minutes before
restarting it. (This process will restart your Internet connection.)

2.Open the appropriate ports for the PLAYSTATION Network :-

http://support.ea.com/cgi-bin/ea.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=11509

3. To test your connection, try creating a new PLAYSTATION Network Account.

* Press the PS button the controller to enter the PLAYSTATION 3 XBM (XrossMediaBar).
* Select the Users tab.
* Select Create a New User Account and press the X button.
* Enter a name for the account and login to the new user account.
* Select the Friends tab.
* Select Sign up for PLAYSTATION Network and press the X button.

(Note: When creating the new PLAYSTATION Network account, please use a different, valid, accessible e-mail address.)

If
the issue persists then this may be due corrupt game save files. Before
deleting files I'll advise you to transfer your game save files to a
memory card and once you have copied the files on the memory card,
delete the game save files from the console hard disk.. You will need
to remove game related save data by following the below given steps:-

1. Press the PS button on the controller to enter the PLAYSTATION 3 XBM (XrossMediaBar).
2. Select the Game tab.
3. Select the Save Data Utility and press the X button.
4. Delete the file related to the game.

Confirm
that you have updated the Playstation 3 computer entertainment system
with the most recent system software. You can check the version you
have installed on your Playstation 3 by selecting:-

- Settings.
- Then System Settings.
- Then System Information.

Confirm
that you are not using any game modification devices. Unlicensed
devices such as game modification devices can interfere with the proper
function of the software. We do not recommend the use of any game
modification devices or unlicensed products.

I hope that this
will resolve the situation. If you have any other questions, then by
all means feel free to let us know. You can also refer to our extensive
Self Help Knowledgebase at
http://support.ea.com for common technical questions.

If there is anything else we can help you with please let us know.

Thank you,

Ricky
Dragon Age of Origins Customer Support

Note that there is no mention of the country code fix in this response?  Gotta love a pre-written blanket response fix.  Get off your lazy bums EA and help your paying customers properly instead of waiting for others to find a workaround!

Anyway...in the process of downloading the soundtrack...surely it will work ok....won't it???

Not to mention the 'move your save files' advice, which you CANNOT on the PS3.

I can understand deleting 'game data' as that is your 'cache' and contains settings sometimes. Normally game developers make the 'settings/options' file separate from the 'save files' so you can delete the options file, which may cause config issues, without losing game progress, so take a look at the 'information' for each save file before you consider deleting them.

AND this surprises you guys about EA well let me enlighten you. Most have already purchased the game so EA got what they wanted the $$$$$. SO now they feel perfectly fine releasing a game that had some major issues on all systems. and also with us paying 50 - 75 $ to beta test and come up with the bulk of the fixes ourselves for the game.So much so that its fine in their eyes to send you a form letter. Oh EA you wouldn't by chance know of any maids that would pay ME to clean MY house for me would you .Thats a sweet business plan you have there .bravo You just managed to make it to the top of my list,
