It's because nerfers make posts a bit too much, frankly. They're poking a bunch of frustrated people. Some to be malicious, I dare say.
The problem with making constructive responses is they don't get read, or responded to more oft than not. The nerf seeker usually doesn't care what's said, either. So what good is being thoughtful over a long, detailed post when it's just going to get overlooked? I've wasted my breath on both sides of the fence plenty of times in the past, though not necessarily on this board.
People calling for nerfs making long drawn out posts probably don't get treated much better. People see "balance" or "nerf" and know someone wants something kicked in the pills so it's not useful anymore. they don't need to read to know that.
They rightfully get upset. Especially over unwarranted nerf cries. At least unwarranted in their opinion.
Nerfers tend to have problems actually balancing things. Often enough they'll go too far with their ideas, or their ideas are shoddy at best. They just want what ever they think is OP kicked into a bloody heap.
It's strange how your posts implies those nerfers actually possess some kind of power that will automatically translate their opinion into a nerf from Bioware. An opinion remains an opinion. What makes it relevant or not is the amount of valid data and arguments brought to support it and the validity of the counter arguments.
The people you and others call "Nerfers" are in my opinion a large variety of people with sometimes very different opinions and motivations. Some of them are indeed clueless about balance and maybe really cry about getting outscored. Some of them just care about the game balance and want some things to be nerfed, others to be buffed. Sometimes they are very knowledgable and make a good point, sometimes not.
This doesn't change the fact that the anti nerfer hysteria is counter productive for its very purpose of wanting a supposed "nerfing spree" to stop. It's everyone's responsibility to behave like adults on these forums and be constructive no matter the OP's opinion.
BTW there's no wonder as to why constructive comments are almost not read, it's understandable with so many spamming going on everywhere. I doubt the comment I actually made 2 posts ago about the slashes is going to be read and reacted to for that matter.
