90% of the focus is multiplayer.

All of these new powers and weapons. Care to bring any of that to the campaign side, Bioware? Hell, at least send over the weapons: That wouldn't take but an hrs worth of work.

Yes i agree.

I saw the Operation Overwatch on top of the page and thought it was sp dlc but then found out it’s mp, what a disappointment.

You can bring the weapons in SP till Rebellion pack using the save editor but then i know that the one after Rebellion are no longer unlockable using that trick(apparently BW blocked them). Probably if they will make a SP DLC they will include them inside that or will re-sell them as a sperate pack for SP.

Don't expect a fair deal because we won't receive any.

I hate that Bioware isn't focusing more on the singleplayer campaign because Mass Effect is a Single Player game with an Multiplayer mode added its not the other way around.

I agree in regards to all the weapons and Powers seriously you can't do something like that for the Single Player Campaign not to mention the Helmet Toggle Fix that I still needs to be Patched in Bioware

No, 100% of the focus of the Mass Effect 3 multi-player team is on multi-player.

Any single-player DLC plans that were in the works for immediately after launch were put on a lengthy hiatus by the Extended Cut which was given complete focus. That's in addition to the usual list of hurdles that come with making single-player DLC for a game like Mass Effect that simply don't exist for multi-player content.

The weapons, mods and powers that were added by the multi-player DLC packs aren't likely being added to the campaign right now because they want to integrate them into future single-player DLC modules because Mass Effect players love dat loot.

This, this, and this. It was announced early on that all other projects had been put on hold. They don't focus more on MP than they do on SP, their schedule just got ****ed up.

Look up Leviathan.

Single player DLC was delayed to work on the extended cut... which is basically single player DLC. But its coming, its already been unofficially announced.

Bioware's dlc expansion plan isn't a zero-sum game where you have to take from singleplayer to give to multiplayer. Its two individual development studies so its a plus-sum game meaning whatever we get in multiplayer dlc is on top of the content delivered to singleplayer.

That's exactly what I was going to say.  I've been hearing a lot of people gripe about how all the DLC focus has been on multiplayer.  Usually, these are the same people that complained about the ME3 ending and how much it needed to be changed.  The Extended Cut DLC, despite what fans may think, was a ton of content for the small period they used to create it in.  The entirelty of their single player DLC team, and more, were put on the task of making all that content.  Also, limited details regarding the supposed "Leviathan" DLC were leaked soon after the Extended Cut's release.

Some of these people need to learn to calm down and be patient.  We all know single-player DLC is coming and now it's a matter of when.  Sorry if bending over backwards for the fans caused their other projects to get delayed.

Are you people simple or something? A separate team has been churning out multiplayer content since the game launched and I'm sure they will continue to do so.

That fact has no impact on the amount of people or time that Bioware is putting toward single player content, which is a lot by the way. You want to revolt and cry endlessly about the endings then that's what they work on and you get the EC. They are now working on further content. Said content takes more than two minutes to do.

Grab a brain, be patient and if all else fails, do something else with your time or play another game.

Think for a sec. They wanted to release the EC before any SP content, so they pushed that focus back till the EC was out. Now that it's out, they're free to focus on SP dlc and continue with their MP dlc.

****, why am I even defending Bioware. Must be a good day.

So it seems we're all agreed - the OP is an unfair gripe, Bioware are not doing anything wrong on this one, and there are obvious and sensible reasons why there's been several MP DLCs and not SP DLC yet.

/thread.

We may see the first DLC probably in October maybe or even December, so BW will have sometime to work on it, just chill people, its better to get high quality DLC than a buggy piece of ****.

MP and SP are done by two different teams. SP DLC was delayed because of EC and I suppose SP takes longer time to do; it's not just about new maps/weapons/class.

They said they're planning/working on something, it doesn't speed anything up by expressing your worries why it isn't done faster or already out.

It's been stated a bunch since the launch of ME3 but threads get buried very quickly around here. Basically, MP has more DLC because of what goes into the DLC is not the same amount as an SP DLC. (read: VO, multiple choices, cinematics, having it fit into the overall narrative etc.)
They pushed back SP DLC to make the EC and are currently cranking on SP stuff right now. For me, I want them to take their time with SP stuff and make it as fabulous as LotSB was for Me2. I mean, don't get me wrong, I can't wait to play MOAR SHEP(!) but not at the expense of the DLC being schlocky.

I frankly hope the lack of Gamble, er, hype, means it may be a "Shadow Broker" quality package.

Okay, I can't believe I have to say this, but here it is.

The Multiplayer DLC is only there to tide us over until the single-player DLCs come out. Keep your pants on, because they are working on the single-player things. Stuff we could never even come up with.

no.
the team working on multiplayer are not the same team working on singleplayer. (it was said here on the forums already)

Also, the MP DLCs are more easy to make, it's just a bunch o maps and weapons, also with a few more characters.
Singleplayer DLC takes more time and resources to make it, it need to have a story, a lot of voice acting, soundtrack, etc..
So no, the multiplayer is not the focus.

Don't kill me for asking, but I wonder how hard it would be to shift the multi-player team over to assist the single player team and speed up some of the releases? I know when I used to do animation I LOVED the opportunity to change things up and work on something different.

Don't you please tell us how "separate" teams are - demolisher's girl armor is black Alenko's personal armor. So..it looks technically and ethically ok for them to grab and reuse staff from SP into MP, why not vice versa??

I am sure they are going to churn out some SP DLC in the near future. Its way easier to package maps and add a set of new MP Characters than to package a SP DLC which contains story, levels, and such. So it definitely takes time to develop SP content.

As much as I like MP, I really hope the new weapons make it into SP. Although I do think it's better to wait for new story content to introduce them. The arsenal has been pretty much doubled since release, and dumping them on players via emails might kinda ruin it. It'd be cooler to "discover" them throughout a mission or in shops in a new hub (Omega please!).
