GOD FORBID. YOU'VE GONE A WHOLE FEW MONTHS WITHOUT DLC. OH NOES. THE WORLD, IT MAY END.
I mean, since it's been all of a couple WEEKS since the EC, SP is CLEARLY dead. I mean, it's not like they have two teams of developers, or anything. NOPE. It's SO OBVIOUS since they're not churning out SP DLC left and right that NOBODY WUVS SINGLEPWAYER ANYMORE.
I mean, it's not like SP DLC requires more work, or anything. Or that it would logically take longer to put out. OH NO. those selfish gits at Bioware JUST DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU!!!!!!!111111ONEONEITYELVEN!
Shut up.

Nah. You see, that would actually be productive and would put a stop on whining and accusing Bioware of another betrayal by people here. And of course we can't have that.

The extreme negative response to the original ending was perceived to be detrimental to sales for SP DLC. Therefore the "EC" had to be made to hopefully regain some positive feelings towards the franchise otherwise the DLC would tank. This would have put them behind their intended, initial release schedule.
At the same time, the more distance between that original negative reaction and release of DLC means more time for people to simmer down. Developers are accustomed to customer outrage over numerous things, but experience shows that over time, once emotions cool off, that a "good" game will be discovered and appreciated thus building a market for their product.
Therefore it is a balance issue - wait too long and people move on - offer too soon and negative publicity from the customer base might hurt sales. Meanwhile an aggressive MP program keeps customers interested in the franchise and may even be thought to be a selling feature - "Come for the MP, stay for the great DLC just around the corner!"
Looking deep within my crystal ball I see SP DLC being basically ready to go but they are withholding it until they deem the market potential is optimum.
Of course this is all just made up on the spot - but we all have a tendency to reason from flawed premises to create plausible explanations which may and often do have little basis in reality.
To be honest, I have little interest right now in SP DLC because for me anyways, the endings ruined the entire franchise. But who knows, they just might create something so awesome, so incredible that I might take a second look - but then again, hope was the last thing to spring from Pandora's box...

I like your sarcasm. People really need to chill out and wait for new SP DLC. I wonder what the first one after the Extended Cut is? Maybe Leviathan?

No matter where these MP levels are made (main gamein Montreal, all DLC levels here by myself and for Earth by 2 additional designers and myself), the division of work is similar. The designers in Montreal who worked on MP before the game came out aren't anymore, but you bet that they're working on *something*
I have been on MP since release because I wanted a different challenge for a bit, and because I have enjoyed doing MP stuff since I started designing levels in a more serious capacity 12 years ago.
EDIT: ofcourse my tablet jumped the gun on submitting the post. MP has been a great pleasure for me the past little while since release. Probably more info than you wanted, but there you go. ThoughI can't speak specifics, I do look forward to thecool things that all the other designers here and in Montreal are working on. Until you know more, take it from me that the love for things besides MP is alive and well here.
Montreal is working on single player content, they have shifted focus like the fans have been saying they should.
End of line.

You can bring the weapons in SP till Rebellion pack using the save editor but then i know that the one after Rebellion are no longer unlockable using that trick(apparently BW blocked them). Probably if they will make a SP DLC they will include them inside that or will re-sell them as a sperate pack for SP.
Don't you please tell us how "separate" teams are - demolisher's girl armor is black Alenko's personal armor. So..it looks technically and ethically ok for them to grab and reuse staff from SP into MP, why not vice versa??Are you people simple or something? A separate team has been churning out multiplayer content since the game launched and I'm sure they will continue to do so.
Keyword: Re-Skin, Mp its full of it from sp. Last Dlc was merely 180 MB and was with new chars re-skinned ( and new maps ) from alrdy cotent on SP. To make you and idea , Javik DLC was a short one , with minimal voice acting etc, and was like 650+ mb.
So YEAH MP is wayyyyyyyyyyy easier to make, only vocice acting on SP takes more time than prolly do the rest of the DLC.
Also, grow some patience people, belive or not, there is a crapload more of games to play out there.

Single player story DLC with the plots, VO, story, etc is more complex than repurposing existing models, areas and weapons which is what is done in multiplay DLC.
