Well, according to numbers, it's damn near better than every gun in the game.Cobra5 wrote...

A decent smg... A decent common... but, a decent common smg? Its hard to even type that out...
The Shuriken X with SMG High-Velocity Barrel and SMG Recoil System is now better then the Vindicator X and is best overall of the Common weapon.

These specs:
AMD A-Series A6-4400M processor
4GB memory; 500GB hard drive
What kind of games can it run? New gen stuff? i.e. Skyrim, Mass Effect, etc. Or old older stuff like Sim city 4, Mech Warrior 3, etc? I've no idea the size of the CPU. They seem to like not incuding Ghz on new laptop specs anymore. My old computer was a 2.1 dual core. It could run basic stuff like Minecraft and Starcraft II on mid range graphics.

Hmm.. maybe I'll try it out.. and for people having a nerdgasms on dps it still looses out against the majority of guns against armor and that's a deal breaker for me,

I'm still in shock that two weapon mods can turn one of the worst guns in the game in to maybe the best side-arm in the game. I mean you can put this on any caster with any Pistols and your cooldown will stay between 200% and 150% and the Weight comes from the Pistol not the Shuriken.

at X the shuriken has damage per bullet of 48.3. With a caster build +10% and a weapon build +30% meaing a DPB of 53.3 and 62.79 respectively. Armor takes off 50 and with HV barrel it only takes away 10 which means armor still atkes away around 20% or 16% which is is still pretty big.

Well, tell that to the devolpers of the formulas then.Meri-Em wrote...
Don't be fooled. 1100 rpm with 48,3 dmg per round sounds good on paper but you don't actually fire 18 bullets per second. It's 9 if not less thanks to the break between the 6-round bursts. Your model for calculating it's dps is flawed.

It's not the rpm I'm talking about it's the armor damage that the Shuriken X does with the High-Velocity Barrel and it's Accuracy with the Recoil System.

Would try it myself, but can't leave work, have to set up OR2. Can't let anyone else do it, they might get it wrong.
Really though, this gives me hope. This is what new additions should do. Change the old, and the way we look at, use, and perform with them.

But then, your science is seems sound. Interesting.
I'll need myself those new gear to test for myself.
EDIT: Have to do it myself. Someone else might get it wrong.
It's technically a 2.7 GHZ dual core, with a built in Radeon HD 7520G, and should be able to run Skyrim, ME3 relatively okay at medium settings; may probably struggle with newer games on high. It'll eat most older games alive though.NeferiusX3 wrote...

Yes, a laptop, it's $400 dollars, the next biggest laptop was 800 with an i3. But I didn't feel like paying twice as much. So I was looking at this one, it's got wi-fi a camera and all that happy stuff. If it can play my Skyrim etc, that's a bonus. If not, I still have a vast collection of older games I own, (I believe somewhere in the high 70's) From C&C 95 to modern games.Wraithwain wrote...

Refire time of 0.5 and Round per Burst of 6 means that you can fire a maximum of 12 bullets per second. This would be a DPS of 579.6 without considering reloading.
The Hornet has a Refire Time of 0.15 and takes 0.6 seconds to fire a bullet; Without reloading the DPS und perfect conditions (you manage to press the button exactly every 0.15 seconds) the dps would be 1120.
If you don't want to click all the time, take the Tempest.

Where did you get those fantabulous dps numbers? And yes I checked just now... count the seconds it takes you to empty your magazine, then come back here with your conclusions

No Consumables, no gear that boosts damage, same character, same enemy, and try for headshots at all times. See which one kill faster and there you go.

~4 seconds to empty one full magazine, followed by a short reload.
If you are looking for accurate damage numbers try Tangsters spreadsheets.
I'm sure they float around here somewhere.
