I like The Elder Scrolls but Mass Effect will always have a special place in my heart.

Skyrims gun mechanics and weapon and armor customization are inferior to ME3, I can't change the weapons or armors look or color without doing it myself on the PC.

So there are laser guns in Skyrim?

I agree. Skyrim is essentially Oblivion 2.0, which isn't a bad thing. I really like the game. Although it would be nice if we could see some of the RPG aspects from Morrowind return.

Skyrim is the greatest open world RPG ever made.

What Bethesda gave us is the framework from which to make whatever experience we want.

Anything you want to add to the game you can through the creation kit and other modding resources. I currently run 140 mods that completely reshape the experience.

Skyrim is a terrible RPG.
The poor story, characters and dialogue and its horrible combat makes it nothing more than a stain on TES series.

I thought being weak in all those areas was a defining characteristic of the TES games.

Since oblivion sadly.
If you could understand it, Morrowinds story was really good. I miss chance based combat as well.

Skyrim and ME3 are completely different genres of game. What, they're both RPGs? So they both use stats? Big deal.

Their core gameplay is completely different. TES focuses on the gameplay, giving you almost unlimited freedom in how you do things, and what you do.

Mass Effect focuses on story and dialogue.

I've said it once and I will say it again.

ME3 is as much a RPG as Call Of Duty is one as well.

ME3 is focused on MULTIPLAYER.

The SP is there simply because they couldn't come up with a good enough reason to scrap it completely.

Repeating your opinion doesnt make it a fact.

True, true.

BIOWARE itself takes care of providing enough evidence.

HOW MANY MULTIPLAYER DLC AND EVENTS HAVE WE GOT SO FAR?

Heavy says cry some more, leviathan and omega dlc was delayed, but now they are being focused on.

A developer even confirmed that the Montreal team responsible for multiplayer content is now focusing on single player content.

Yeah, OP brought so many good arguments and had me convince that overhpyed and boring game Skyrim is better then overhyped and disappointing ME3.

I agree with you. I don't have any clue what's going on with these people who got bored or despise the game.

If it's superior in every way than it should be able to beat ME's gun mechanics.

Though Skyrims melee and fast travel mechanics are better, so kudos to them.

It seems 80% of the people in this thread think Skyrim is boring or they hate it. I'm actually surprised.

God forbid we have a different taste in games.

Edit: I don't hate Skyrim by the way but I did get bored.

well, lets thank all those fans who wanted Multiplayer. Bioware apperently listened to them and they got their awesome MP experiance that they were dying for. Too bad SP had to suffer on their account.

I don't agree!! I REALLY don't...

Skyrim strengths: FREEDOM to do most of what you want, larger world, more complex character and equipment customization option, longer game with A LOT more to do, original side-quests.

Strengths shared by both games: Amazing sound track, breathtaking graphics.

ME3 strengths: Multiplayer, combat system, enemy AI and originality, difficulty level, character interactions and main quest involvement, facial expressions, voice acting, more satisfying mature content (MA18), better character romance options, nonstop action.

Skyrim notorious flaws: GAME CRASHES!!! Boring main quest, too much grinding, loneliness and environment repetitiveness, no multiplayer options, invinsible NPCs.

ME3 notorious flaws: THE ENDINGS!!! Not enough freedom in the ME world and in speeches options, tedious and annoying hub quests (should have been side quests), useless war assets and N7 level.

Notorious flaws for both: Plagued with numerous bugs... (price to pay for such complex games...)

I don't remember a huge fan outcry for multiplayer before ME3...

No, I don't have a problem with people having different taste, I'm just so suprised that most of this thread is hating on Skyrim when it's an immensly popular game.

You're very mistaken. Call of Duty and Mass Effect have completely different priorities in what they want the audience to achieve, leading to two very different experiences.

I have played two matches of MP in total, to see what it was like. That is all. ME3 to me is solely the SP, and it's great.

I keep going back and forth which style I prefer. Both are fantastic. Bioware gives me goosebumps through the characters and strong story but I am transfixed when playing the elder scrolls games. I love the crafting. When I get bored I got to work on the forge and create ebony armor sets for the guards of Riverwood where I hang my hat. Sometimes I go bow hunting and camping in isolated locations. It's rad stuff ..Also you get a fairly good companion in Serana through the dawnguard DLC. We've had some good adventures.
