I think I've played Overlord nearly 10 times now, and every single playthrough I try to eliminate every single camera I come across.

I can't find any appreciable benefit to doing this, ergo, no achievement or XP bonuses, and I don't think it affects the difficulty of your enemies by denying them intelligence.

It's just odd that they were deliberately designed to be destroyed by the developers, one of the few things in the Mass Effect game world that has no apparent function to the game itself but yet can be interacted with in some manner.

Anyone else try to take all the cameras out, and if so, did you ever come across consequences, good or bad, for doing so?

I also do the same thing with the cameras during Overlord, but not that it matters as you have pointed out. And as you stated I have never noticed any thing different by doing it or not doing it during Overlord.
Really I like to destroy them because I don't like the idea of being tracked so I think it is just something to add to the feel and mood of Overlord.

I think there is or is supposed to be an achievement for getting every single one. If you didn't get it, you probably missed one or two, which is very easy to do.

no such achievement exists for the 360 version.

Same here no trophy for the PS3 for the cameras. Now for Overlord there is the five or six data packets you have to recover for the trophy on the PS3. But otherwise nothing with the cameras that I have found or seen on PS3 trophies website, or in my trophy collection.

Thought that was Portal. ;)
