To learn that ULM on the SMG's still doesn't work on anything but the Geth's.  

To know just how bugged things are in this game.

To know there are other ways to play other than camping on FBW.

So the average player gets better?  This is the most important as I've never seen a player base so resoundingly suck at a multiplayer game for as long the average player has sucked at this game.  There are decent players out there, they are just very few and far between.

On topic, all the threads outlining things wrong with the game are mostly justified. A lot of the design work on this game is not very good and if it was actually playtested thoroughly by people who are good at the game, it would be much better.  The fact the BW team who made this game could barely extract even once on Platinum speaks volumes about the designers on the team and knowing what works and how to make it work more effective/balanced.

Gaming forums are bad in general, and this one is frankly probably the worst, even beating SPUF handily. I come here for the balance changes, stay despite my better judgement. I'm half surprised BW hasn't pulled the plug on it yet.

People here tend to help each other out. Some people like to figure out good character builds and weapon combinations and post to share their experiences for others to try and enjoy. Others just like having a group of like-minded people to talk with about things they enjoy/dislike about ME3. Others still share their thoughts on what they believe should change, and quite a few developers read/post in the forum to have a conversation with/get feedback from the people who play the game.

I'd say those are some pretty good points as to why people come here. :-)

Also, my job is boring, give me a lot of free time with internet access, basically I have nothing better to do, I want to play, but I can't, so I come here to talk about the game..
