As far as I am aware, these titles are not mutually exclusive. 

Rather like that viper Howe held three different titles by the end of the game, but...errr...better, I suppose.

I wonder if Loghain granted Teagan this title, or if it was Cailan's doing?

Arl = Count/Earl.

Teryn = Duke.

It's Bioware's way of saying "Baron". Just they turned Earl into "Arl" and Sir into "Ser", ect, ect.

Well, I'm 22. Duncan it's what society considers "old" for me. But that doesn't mean I don't find him extremely intersting. With all that experience a man of his age must have...
