so with 40 he would be a 70-80 year ol' gramps in our modern "healthy" world

Hmm, do I feel old now... (yeah, I'm 40).

And Duncan probably is about 45-50, at least what comes to his face, though might be that Grey Wardens get old looking faster.

duncan prolly joined the wardens at 18-25 and he was a few years away from dieing of the taint so he prolly was around 45-52
