I'm still pissed off because I didn't pre-order and drop $92.67 on a CE of a mediocre game that didn't, at all, live up to the pre-launch promises on top of the ******-poor ending. I feel cheated, and there's no way I can ever get my money back. I could've done more productive things with that money like buy beer, ammunition, cigars, or pipe tobacco.

Screw Bioware.
Screw the horse they rode in on.
Screw the cavalry that followed.
and Screw the field they died in.

Your going to get flamed for that post, but i really couldn't agree more. They lied about the game and didn't even give us a half decent ending. I paid 54 Euro for ME3, i should have got my moneys worth instead of having to imagine my own ending.

I agree with all this and more. They failed to deliver on pretty well every promise they made on the series. Nevermind the last hour of ME3(which was of course atrocious), I want recompense for most of Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3.

When people were trying to "retake" the endings they should have been trying to retake the trilogy.

It pisses me off to no end that we all got played for fools.

I am angry because I can't bring myself to replay any chapter of my favorite series of all time. Because for months now it left me with a bitter taste and the feeling of being let down

and that is NOT what I game for. Stupid me I guess I'll go to full spoiler town before I buy anything else from Bioware

Someone is mad? I'm a bit hungry, not mad. Sometimes, I am quite eccentric. People might misconstrue that as mad.

BSN posters are self-selecting.

There might be lots of mildly satisfied (or dissatisfied) customers out there - forum threads aren't really all that useful a tool for judging overall customer satisfaction/dissatisfaction about something.

Fix it with Headcanon!

I'd sure love to fix your head with a canon.

We shouldn't need to invent our own ending to make it worthy of Shepard and the series.

I heard ME4 will be sold with a bunch of blank sheet of papers and a pen. Buy the Collectors Edition and they'll include a eraser as well so you can edit and adjust your own nonsensical ending.

I was going to get the blank disk version myself, but my brother said there will be a 0GB download available instantly on release day along with DLC entitled Head Canon This.  I'm pretty sure it adds an imaginary teammate to your squad who is pretty necessary for important imaginary missions.  I am all set to head canon angry fans.

I like to believe that after the activation of the Crucible, Shepard hosted a kick-ass party at Purgatory and was unable to remember the events that happened the night before.

Not so much anger, more so let down.
I didn't play the first mass effect but i did put allot of time into the second and i loved every second of it and got the dlc's for it the genesis included so i could make the choices in me1. the ending being my favorite part it was epic and makes me want to watch it again and again.

I got the same vibe when i started to play me3 as it did have some epic moments like the thresher maw vs the reaper and seeing the fleets come through the relay.
but then it became apparent allot of my choices didn't have much value in the long run, the Rachi queen and collector base for example, and that things were bland and more often than not i didn't feel like i was doing much good in the galaxy and i was just settling quarls between children. and for the most part it didn't even feel like there was a war going on.
And then, the ending.
It's bad that the fans need to "head canon" there own ending, especialy for such a epic series.
I mean we play the games, we don't make them. That's for the company's to.

But without the anger, how will the forums get enough heat to survive the harsh winter nights?

I don't see why he'd get flamed, the vast majority o BSN agrees with him.

Do you have facts/figures/source to substantiate your statement re: vast majority?   Yes, many people are not happy.  Yes, many people are haters, but to make a broad generalization is not acceptable.  I think you may have had the courage to make such a remark because a large number of the BSN posters remaining here are still filled with hatred and vitriol.  I would hazard a guess that after the EC, many, many ME fans have moved on, content or at least accepting of the finality of the end of this arc.

There are other games out there that are worthy of playing and becoming immersed in.  Why not give some of them a try and move on.  This continuous angst cannot be healthy.

And to be clear, I am not an apologist for Bioware.  I have had issues with the ME3 experience.  But it's time to move on and get rid of the anger.

I actually use logic (well, "logic") to make the destruction ending palatable: Since we are never actually SHOWN images and/or cutscenes of Edi and the Geth keeling over, I choose to believe that their survival is dependant on a high EMS score in the Destruction ending. Like Shepard. If he lives, they live. Problem solved. At least for me...

I shall cling to my anger, like Gollum to his Precious. It shall fester within me until my heart blackens with malice. If you ****** me, I shall bleed spite.

Okay, maybe not. But I am a bit peeved.

You do know that EDI's name appears on the Normandy's memorial wall, right?  She's dead.

If you dont like the game, headcanon another one! It isnt hard to use Imagination, and you can make Shepard be whoever you want and make all the right choices. The ending would be perfect because it is what you thought up of.

Imagination is endless, so you can even make Shepard appear in Headcanon-ME4 if you wanted!

Headcanon is even MORE satisfying than playing the actual game, so why isnt everyone doing it?

I did not pay £54 just so I can headcanon my own ending.
I give Bioware money, they give me a story. If I'm forced to come up with my own headcanon to make sense of Bioware's mess then they have failed as writers.

Hell on Earth is being bound to a fate, knowing what will happen to you and knowing that there is nothing you can do to escape it (no I am not talking about the endings, but if you guys wanted dark, I'd trade shoes with you any day of the week). I have a rare variant of Barrter's Syndrome, all of my muscles are always contracted (it feels like I have golf balls under the skin), and because my body can't get them the electrolytes they need the nerves in my muscles are seizing up and dying (I've already lost my legs), my fate is sealed, either I live on trapped in my own body or my heart gives out. My life is very painful (my brother never even walked and if not for a spot of gray matter in my head the pain would have left me bedridden too), and Mass Effect was an escape, one of the fleeting things I had... I am not angry even about that, I just wish BioWare cared about Mass Effect as much as me. I'll probably never get to do something great, but they had the chance to be great, and they didn't take it, they held back and that is what makes me angry.

Your obsession with Miranda reminds me of another former poster named Gmagnum who was constantly going on about her derierre.  He has since been perma-banned.  At least you keep it clean.
