Hang on, where did my medigel supply go? Why "Stomping" on Gold/Platinum is ridiculously horrendous and NEEDS TO GO.

Since the inclusion of "stomping" on Gold and Platinum I have (most frustratingly) witnessed the following *NOT-FUN* potential "Game Over for Multiplayer for me" factors:

(1). Heightened tension from start to finish brought on by the "Is this game going to WASTE my precious SP/PSP equipment by ending prematurely due to players being ****ing STOMPED?", within SECONDS of going down.
(2). A sharp increase in 'MISSION FAILS".
(3). Players having far less resources (e.g., medi-gel, op-survival packs and cobra missiles) to use during later waves (i.e., 8 to extraction) when they actually NEED them, because they were forced to use them because of f***ing STOMPING minions from the get-go.
(4). Embarrassed comrades, PUBs and friends, and an epidemic of "awkward" silences on the microphone while STOMPED players realise having been STOMPED, they have just lost the game for the team and wasted 20-30 mins of time.

In short, introducing "STOMPING" on Gold and Platinum was a BAD CALL, and I would appreciate it BEING REMOVED next UPDATE.

Stomping has existed in this game even on gold. They simply tweaked it for an increased chance of it happening since it was lower for some reason.

It's nothing new. I've been stomped before on Gold and I'm used to it.

The trick is surviving in the first place until you can clear out all the weaker enemies that "stomp" you.

So not signing. You're asking for a mechanic that has always been there to be removed.

That's because you killed all the stomp units that showed up first. If they don't spawn they can't stomp and they don't spawn about wave 4 or so.

You miss one or two like I've seen done before and yes. They stomped.

Your head is wrong. They stated in the update that enemies will now stomp on gold, meaning they didn't before.

So you guys who play the top difficulties are saying that you wont put up with inconveniences that silly bronze mongrels have put up with for ages?

 I like stomping, makes it that much more satisfying. Oh, I was speaking on behalf of the Geth trooper who stomped my face in.

No, it was IMPOSSIBLE for them to stomp before on gold.

Stomping is fine, it should have been enabled on gold from the beginning.  It isn't even an issue on plat because the only unit that does it is the atlas.

I play with randoms so it's not too much different really. Normally if I do go down, for some reason they never try to revive, or they all go down themselves. The stomping just makes me use it sooner I guess.

Stomping on Gold/Platinum: not fun. Not achieving mission success due to stomping: not fun. Losing level IV equipment after games ends abruptly: not fun. Having to buy more Vet/Jumbo packs and less PS/ PSPs not fun.

It's that simple.

Enemies did not stomp on gold prior to the update. This gave teammates a chance to revive allies without too much hassle. With such aggressive AI behavior, camping became a preferred method of defense. Now with the introduction of the stomp in high tier play, camping is discouraged. If someone goes down, it is much more likely for them to be out of the round now. So teams either camp all in one big group (which always happened in FBWGG anyway) or roam about in a cohesive unit. This increases the chance of a large conglomeration of enemies to attack all at once, further increasing the chance of a downed squad mate.

I have already seen the slight change in behavior of players since the update. Now people do not have time to run around trying to kite the enemy before their allies are KO'd for a round. No more lifting off like geniuses.

I agree with executions being enabled to make the higher difficulties more difficult rather than, say, upping the probability of Banshee and Phantom sync kills. <_<

The solution is also simple.

Get better at the game, or go back to Bronze/Silver.  If you're dying often enough to the point where executions are a huge problem, you probably shouldn't be on the higher difficulties anyway.

The feature should have been in Gold to begin with, stop whining because they fixed what was presumably a bug.

Yeah, I kind of find this interesting when so many people on the forums talk about being gold pros and looking down their noses at the silver and bronze players (case in point right above me). And asking for the game to be even harder. Then, came platinum, and still they asked for the game to be harder.

'Kay. It's harder now. What's the problem?

You're so wrong it's hilarious. It's never the campers that get executed first, it's the players who are mobile while the rest of the team camps. (vanguards, and cqc classes are an example)

If anything, executions and sync kills encourage camping.
