Hang on, where did my medigel supply go? Why "Stomping" on Gold/Platinum is ridiculously horrendous and NEEDS TO GO.

As a high level Cerberus operative, I can tell you guys that we make it an imperative to stomp you people as fast as humanly possible. You Alliance operatives are extremely dangerous and considered to be the most significant threat of our day.

I have lost a few good fiends to the Alliance, and always look forward to payback.

See you on wave 10.

I think this just weeds out the people who are not playing as a team. I/we can't always revive those individuals if they run off away from the team. It just forces us to play more as a unit, and I like that.

... And, in so doing, lessen the chance of mission success with PUGs. Pathetic or rubbish Is what I think of this comment. No, wait -- perhaps it's both. You choose.

Yes? Tell me, how do you play with dead team-mates -- stomped in seconds of going down?

I guess no one here has ever played Gears huh? Man up and quit your crying. Gold players crying over a feature thats been in the lower difficulties since day one. You need to have your N7 status revoked!

And from the sounds of it, you need a brain transplant huh-boy. Don't you realise this appalling addition has tue potential to simply put you one step further from mission success and subsequent credits more often? All the while rapidly depleting your hard-earned gear and equipment?

Oh, or should I say huh? IMHO, It doesn't add to fun only frustration -- especially when playing with PUGs ( which many of us do).

Try it yourself and "man up" when you man down, trying to revive fallen team-mates in what has -- due to this new inclusion -- become an almost impossible task in many instances (read previous posts for details).

And "don't even" go near the Bronze / Silver comparison. *sigh* just don't.

If I didn't have to deal with it myself I wouldn't tell you to man up. **** happens...deal with it. You come in here with this foolish nonsense and expect to be taken seriously. You sound like a god damn crybaby...Wahhhh Im getting stomped now Bioware please make it stop. Like I said, the lower levels have dealt with this feature since day one...wtf makes you so special? Answer....nothing.

Play Reapers Gold. No stomping there.

but then, bioware dude said cannibals are supposed to be able to puke on downed players to execute them but it's currently bugged (explaining that cannibals are shy) and they're trying to fix it. if they do succeed, they will be *quick merciless* executions on every gold match.

/sighs/ it's quite annoying. but what I find truly frustrating is the rarity of medi-gels. forces me to either play on lower difficulties or risk contributing quick failure to a PUG.

Imaginative, I'll give you that TonyMac. Still don't like it. Still think Gold doesn't need it. Still don't relish the thought of more mission failures with PUGs.

Die less -> give the enemy less opportunity to stomp you. Problem solved.

If you can't, maybe you should settle for a lower difficulty until you are ready or just accept the expenses, period.

Problem solved? Problem started. Did you even read the posts on this thread?
Pathetic. Stop wasting my time with such drivel.

Period.

I play Gold almost exclusively and I don't notice any horrendous stomping. That means either I am a gaming prodigy 1337 dude (which I am not so much convinced of), or you just need to play better. Pick your location more carefully, stick with the team and all that stuff that constitutes being a good player. Then you'll have no problems at all.

Fact: On Gold there are so few basic Troopers that stomping should be hardly an issue at all. And the few Atlas that come with Cerberus don't make the situation any more harder due to being really not hard not to account for. Don't even let m start on Platinum.

That in the end means either you die a lot during the early waves where basic Troopers are still common, in which case you don't really have the credibility to properly judge the amount of stomping in the first place, or your team does a very poor job at prioritizing targets and taking them out, in which case the problem is not with the stomping, but with your teams ineptitude for the challenge.

There is no other side to it. There is no out of proportion stomping. Just the regular kind that is finally doing what is was supposed to do all the time. That's it.

I am going to stick my head out here and say: maybe revive them before they get stomped?

And if it is your team getting itself butchered all the time, then get another team. Or even better, get friends to play with. Again, problem solved.

I'm an average player, and usually liked to stick to Silver. I was trying to become better at the game so I could play Gold more regularly because on Gold I didnt have to worry about getting stomped.

Now that stomping is on Gold, I've learned to deal with it. But I'll still stick to silver, because I have more fun on that.

Gold/plat is now just for quick credits, and the occasional session on it w/ friends. Friends are more reliable for reviving.

Find a better team? Not sure as I have not been stomped in seconds of going down. It usually take them a while to get to me, or I get stomped if I was not playing smart and run off on my own. I usually roll with a couple of guys beside me. Makes it hard for them to even get close to a downed player.

Oh okay, so the solution is to regularly play with a team that plays in exactly the same way as your team.

It made no sense that the higher difficulties did not have this implemented before. The enemies in Gold/Plat should be more ruthless in regards to killing downed teammates compared to their Bronze/Silver comrades.

Plus, it encourages teams to stick together rather than disperse. I have no problems with this change.

OP, you don't get it. The game was too easy on Gold for like a few dozen people. And since you obviously have to balance your game around the absolute BEST players in the world, they just made it so they can have their "challenge" again. That the other 99.99999% of the players now get slaughtered is irrelevant. You always balance around the top 0.00001% of players, never around the majority.

I'm surprised you did not know this.

I'm done with this. Like the wheels on a bus go round and round -- so do the comments on this topic.
End note: IMHO stomping, as recently introduced in 24th July balance changes, means less credits at the end of PUG gaming sessions. Less credits, less chance to buy PS/PSPs, less fun replaced with more frustration. Agree or disagree, it's of little consequence to me. I've stated my views. Hopefully, like-minded players will find some solace in the fact that they are not alone in thinking the game just became slightly less fun on Gold.

No that is not what I said. I said I roll with players beside me. They
acutally play very different than me but we play as a unit.

What this says to me is that he plays with people who play different classes but work together. For example he may play as a N7 Demolisher and have a Destroyer stick with him. For two reasons if nothing else. One being that the Supply Pylon helps both of them out, and the second because the Destroyer understands that the Demolisher only has 500 base Shields if he specced for pure damage. So he can go down real quick, the Destroyer knows this and that he can survive being under fire while reviving the Demolisher.

Add in an Infiltrator like the Quarian Male or N7 Shadow and you have three guys that can work well together. The Male Quarian can mark dangerous targets while they are on a Hack objective or delivering a pizza, while killing smaller enemy units quickly or stunning them. The N7 Shadow can dispatch dangerous enemies and use them to get closer to a downed ally via Shadow Strike. Just a few things off of the top of my head.

I have gotten the exact same amount of credits since tuesday as i did before, so no it doesn't mean that.
Unless one wasn't actually a gold caliber player to begin with and as such didn't in anyway deserve those credits they used to get.

Please reduce the occurence from the mobs pouncing. And while you are at it, remove the entire concept of OHK. Or at least if this occurs make people able to be revived from it.

Because of OHK I don't play against any other mobs then the geth.

Stomping is fine, just stay together and don't let your team mate bleed out
