Hang on, where did my medigel supply go? Why "Stomping" on Gold/Platinum is ridiculously horrendous and NEEDS TO GO.

Disagree.

Also lol'd at "sign this", as if that does anything.

It shows collective disdain for this unwanted addition to Gold, is what is does.

It isn't very collective now, is it?

Posts been up for less than 15 mins. Take an arrow in the knee.

Take a boot to the head. If Gold players can't put up with a minor inconvinience that Bronze/SIlver players can, and that's really easy to avoid, maybe we shouldn't play the game

Take a golf-club to an electrical storm. Bronze/Silver are not Gold. True story.

Only if you're flying a kite next to me.

I know it's different. Gold is supposed to be harder. And if our compatriots can deal, we should be able to avoid it compleatly.

Personally I took the loss of the executions in gold as a sign that they were only intended for the lower difficulties. I mean it is so hard to die that I pictured them as a sort of mark of shame to the player who is executed. Didn't expect them in gold until after I read about the weekly changes. I do not wish to see them leave again, but I can admit that they get annoying if they happen shortly after the death. Even more if ur death was from rezzing someone else as an nfiltrator and u Get to be the one stomped on.

Players in gold dislike using that medigel unless absolutely necessary. I try to use it only when it's the alternative for that TPK. I have very little of the stuff on my account atm.

Its not the stomping that bothers me its that enemies go out of their way too stomp, even if a teamate is shooting at them or revivng you they'll still stomp you.

^^^ I thought marauders were the ones that stomp for reapers... Been a while since I played against them in bronze and silver. Haven't had a chance to fight them in new gold due to time constraints. I will see if that is true sometime in the near future.

I don`t remember a lot of stomping before last update.. but I think Atlas still executed me pre-update. Anyway lately for cerberus.. it`s all about "mission: stomping you wihle you are down" in gold. I think this update is another desperate attempt to buff Cerberus...

It actually holds true to a surprising degree around here. And the DV isn't even the worst character IMO, not by a mile.

I've carried my share of players through gold, still doesn't change the fact that I will be downed occassionaly.

Of course I die, but I've never lost a gold game due to being executed since executions were implemented on Tuesday.

It's not a huge issue if you play intelligently.

No Reaper units stomp. Cannibals were supposed to, but their AI for consuming fallen allies overrides their AI for consuming team members (thus execution). In exchange, you get two sync killers, one that essentially never does his and mainly exists to block doorways and make hack objectives really annoying, and another whose sync kill is this game's definition of cheap difficulty.

I don't understand why you think that stomping is fine for bronze/silver, but right out for gold/platinum. If anything, it should be the other way around, but I think it's fine everywhere.

If I go down, and see an enemy coming over or my mash window closing, and no allies seem like they're coming to help, and the group seems like they have a chance of doing anything after this, I'll use a medigel. It's very rare that I'll get stomped without knowing it's going to happen.

So stomping hasn't really changed anything, other than that PUGs I play with not realizing they have medigels and getting executed more often. But most PUGs are really, really bad, so you sort of go in with that expectation.

Drellguards are for the Lolz on gold. Running around like chickens with their heads cut off...
Oh yeah, where were we? Ah yes, the stomping enemies. Yeah, the AI loves sacrificial pawns that end the lives of one player. It feeds off ur suffering, getting stronger. Them going straight for the execution is fine and dandy when there is only 1 target to blast apart. When there are more of them that is when it gets annoying.

Agreed. However, slumming in PUBs (which is what I find myself doing quite frequently these days) proves the age-old adage "common sense is not so common", to be stomp.

:( Holden's Law....

My Drellguard melts faces on gold, but only if my ISP can keep me connected to the internet for the entire 15-20 minutes it takes to finish a gold match. Yes, that is very much an open question whenever I play. :pinched:
