Hang on, where did my medigel supply go? Why "Stomping" on Gold/Platinum is ridiculously horrendous and NEEDS TO GO.

I don't understand why you think that stomping is fine for bronze/silver, but right out for gold/platinum. If anything, it should be the other way around, but I think it's fine everywhere.

If I go down, and see an enemy coming over or my mash window closing, and no allies seem like they're coming to help, and the group seems like they have a chance of doing anything after this, I'll use a medigel. It's very rare that I'll get stomped without knowing it's going to happen.

So stomping hasn't really changed anything, other than that PUGs I play with not realizing they have medigels and getting executed more often. But most PUGs are really, really bad, so you sort of go in with that expectation.

I guess (currently playing mostly with PUGs), I should, as a result of ze stompen, expect less success. Seems reasonable, thanks.

I feel like this is the first time I've ever seen you on the MP forum, but you're already one of my favorite posters. Keep up the good work, k? :kissing:

Agreed. However, slumming in PUBs (which is what I find myself doing quite frequently these days) proves the age-old adage "common sense is not so common", to be stomp.

Okt, so if you're using common sense then stomping shouldn't be a problem unless you are downed more than 5 times, right?

Oh yeah, where were we? Ah yes, the stomping enemies. Yeah, the AI loves sacrificial pawns that end the lives of one player. It feeds off ur suffering, getting stronger. Them going straight for the execution is fine and dandy when there is only 1 target to blast apart. When there are more of them that is when it gets annoying.

YOU INVOLKED HOLDEN'S LAW! YOU B******!

so, what's the 'punishment'?

Avoiding the stomp is what medi-gel is for. Stop complaining that you have to use something that was meant to be used.

If people stuck together more and were there to rez their friend, this wouldn't be such a problem. Quit thinking you're a BAMF and stay near your squad. If you want to be Chuck Norris go play bronze. Not signing. Randoms need to learn.

Perhaps, like many weekend op briefs, I have failed in making myself clear. For the record, I actually only find myself being stomped, attempting to aid my PUB brethren who hardly ever dissappoint in researching cerburus shoe-sizes.

Oh, and this is an incy-bit annoying when done for the umpteenth time on Wave 3.

I like stomps, and had forgotten how much I'd missed them from the days when I'd only play Silver. It makes the normal Cerberus and Geth Troopers an actual threat rather than a mere annoyance. Plus, I love feeling like a hero when I incapacitate one of them with Overload or something just as they bring their knee up over my teammate's head. Then I revive them, and we both turn on that murderous schmuck and light him up while laughing maniacally.

"This one wishes to express it's thanks for enlightening this one's species on their watery home. It wants to know if u, enkindler, can decide on a reasonable gift."

Meh, still Worth it.
On Topic: PUGs r notorious for bad gameplay and cruddy teamwork. Adding another thing to stress over isn't such a big deal; merely when it happens cheaply. I imagine I will feel the same way about executions as I do Magnet hands when they come without warning. Plus it gives me another reason to destroy every last lightbulb headed Geth trooper I see, so it is good in my book.

The executions can happen a bit too fast when a teammate gets stomped even if they're right next to you the whole time. Really though it's only a problem up to wave 5, and if everyone was getting stomped out that early then it probably wouldn't have gone well anyway.

The main problem with the stomp nerf is some how they seeped into lower level games as well in a stronger way. Even though only gold and platinum were supposed to be affected.

Your manifest shows you have over 200 of each consumables. Isn't that more than enough to use at most 5 per game? Compare it to my own manifest. Both my ops pack and gels aren't even in the 30 mark denoting frequency of usage and of course much lower player skill. On top of that your Ultra Rares are high level. I don't suppose you are hugging the floor as often as I am in Gold.

Therefore I am finding it difficult to see the issue here. The fact that I am a worse off player than you are, and having to counter crotch stomps with gels, what are the challenges you face when you have clearly more gels, better gear, more higher level consumables and all around higher weapon damage?

There should be a slight delay between going down and being targeted for a stomp. Its pretty bad when your teammate right next to you goes down and 1 second later gets executed. Its literally xxxyyy is down, Assault trooper has executed xxxyyy.

Although it is fun using rambos as sniper bait. They straight up ignore you and your teammates in favor of the downed player. So you just line up you sights and as they stomp, they stop for about half a second wheres there is almost no motion, and you pull the trigger. Headshot everytime.

You think that's good?

I snap froze a trooper perfectly RIGHT when his foot was literally less then a milimeter from my teammate's head. It stayed balanced allowing us to appricate the animation before I grew bored of it and smashed to pieces with my shield.

Perhaps that was the THE closest to death he had ever come before a last minute field goal.

I probably would have won an award for "Best Life Saving Ice Sculputre" if it didn't require killing it to progress the wave.

I don't think it should be removed, since it wouldn't make sense for the harder difficulties to have it easier than bronze, at least in the regard of stomping. What they could do is tone it down a bit. The enemy seems to go out of their way to stomp you. Even if theres three others right there shooting at it only a few feet away, it will prefer to run to the other side of the map just to stomp on you. It happens too quickly and enemies are way too obsessed with it. Dailing it back a bit would be nice, but I don't think it should be completely removed.

*sigh* Earned. And no, I would rather get stomped than compare manifests. No offence, simply do not wish to digress.

I would like it if the enemy used common sense when it came to executions. The rush f troopers is funny, but either futile or plain annoying. And I would think that a Cerberus goon would still want to keep his head down as a typhoon mows down his allies one by one.

Only times I am happy as a Krogan Sentinel are when I heavy melee or lift grenade a banshee out of her sync kill. Once got it right as the hand was dipping into the guys chest. Felt proud of that moment. Wish I could have taken a screencap on the 360.

Mixed feeling about "executions". It makes game more challenging, which is good, because gold was too easy. But now there is a problem with medi-gel and ops packs.
Also now it's even harder to play PUGs, because noobs get executed before you can revive them.
