My only issue is that stomp mooks waste NO time in curb stomping people, iv seen them execute people literaly five seconds after they hit the floor but thats not unique to gold/plat. This is why I often lob grenades/turrets at a persons body even if nothing is near them cause I know any second something will be right on em.

executions are fine. Gold and Plat should be challenging. I'd rather have executions over nerfs any day. The elite got their wish for increased difficulty.

I can't believe this is even a thread. Executions, really? Maybe it's because I don't get all obsessive about Gold/Plat and don't start drooling at the prospect of boss spam, but many people including myself have had to deal with executions as a normal part of the game since launch, now everyone gets to experience that oh so not-wonderful feeling.

I really don't see the problem. And if you do feel that it is such a problem, play a lower difficulty. Don't like that? Well then, TF2 Heavy said it best: "Cry some more!"

I like the added challenge, it should have been this way from the beginning.

However, I wouldn't be surprised if we see a small delay in one of the patches where enemies take slightly longer to stomp, I'm okay with it either way if it changes or doesn't change.

Haven't played with dog boy for about a week actually, but I imagine he's quite pleased with his toy's upgrade.

Not on Gold or above you haven't.

I don't particularly /mind/ the executions, what I mind is the enemies suddenly going OCD about stomping me every time I die. It's annoying that all the enemies start flocking like buzzards the moment a downed body is detected.

Honestly, I more-or-less always considered stomping a scrappy mechanic, anyway. It's stressful enough to think someone might not save you in time, but now we just know, we're screwed. No one can possibly make it to us fast enough. We're dead. We're just frakking dead.

Personally, I'd sign onto removing stomps altogether. It doesn't make the game any harder, just more annoying. And to anyone who has no idea what this means, read this http://tvtropes.org/.../FakeDifficulty

Sure, but instead we get both. Bioware doesn't want us to be able to win with any frequency. In their minds, success means that people will no longer spend real money on packs. They don't recognize that people aren't buying packs anymore largely because nobody would spend real money on ammo mods.

I wouldnt mind...but i like the up close an personal characters and i like to melee alot...this als would be fine except that i often get a lagy connection(im in the uk and often play with people from usa etc)....that turns my almost flawless timeing into very flawed timing and as such i go down alot.... and get stomped on alot... so i think this feature should remain...but be made so it happens less....then again i would prefer it be removed than left as is.

The stomps and instant-kill mechanics are both fake difficulty, the sort of thing that has no relationship to player skill, but arbitrarily makes the game seem more difficult than it is. The same's true of Geth stunlocking.

The stunlocking would be fine if it only applied to paper-skinned races like humans and salarians, but it applies to the heavier Turians and Krogans, too.

The stomps don't make it any harder for the stompee, but for his teammates; there's next-to nothing an ally can do to save you in time, and now the team loses a quarter of their assets. I mean, bleeding out is kinda like that too, but at least then it's your team's fault that they didn't save you (unless you weren't tapping A to not die). It's punishing players for something we have no control over.

As for instant kills, those would at least be tolerable if they didn't cancel you out of your current action. I mean, my Krogan was about to smash that Phantom's spine, why'd he suddenly stop and do nothing as the Phantom stabs him to death?

because of f***ing STOMPING minions from the get-go.

comrades, PUBs and friends, and an epidemic of "awkward" silences on
the microphone while STOMPED players realise having been STOMPED, they
have just lost the game for the team and wasted 20-30 mins of time.
In short, introducing "STOMPING" on Gold and Platinum was a BAD CALL, and I would appreciate it BEING REMOVED next UPDATE.

Wow quit complaining, ever think that maybe the higher difficulty means its..oh idk MORE DIFFICULT!!

Stomping has been in the game from the game from the very get go, even in the beta. And i **** well know it doesnt take a rocket scientist to realize that MEDIGEL saves you. Just cuz your to retarded to think and get equipment than spoil yourself on premiums and spectres, how about you actually get enough gear first so you dont post this ridicilous topic.

If youve been on the round for 20 to 30 minutes, its not a waste, you get credits still so suck it up! Stop wasting resources on the little thing, gun the targets down normally, if your surrounded then consider high power equipment and gear usage.Ive done 8 platinums and havent used all my equipment once in the game, why? CUZ I USED MA BRAIN!
 
If you think the match will waste your so called PRECIOUS equipment then use something you have multiples of, Also YOU CAN EARN IT AGAIN!! Thats the point!!

Your cry to have STOMPING removed from gold and platinum will never happen so dont waste your breath. IT MAKE THE GAME CHALLENGING SO EITHER GET USED TO IT OR DONT PLAY THOSE DIFFICULTIES!!

My ballet slip was torn up and fed to a baby Krogan who couldnt help but laugh at this ridicilous post.

And yes, I have been on that recieving end.  It sucks, but I tough it out because IT'S GOLD, it's not supposed to be easy.

I see. FB London is my new Ghost (or was until ze stomp). Actually, players being head-squashed in buddy games is (imho) for the most part due to bad luck. PUBs being head-squashed on Gold however, for the most part is due to bad skill(s). Either way, the outcome means less credits and slower acquisition of cards.
Maybe I will attempt soloing Gold. No liabilities that way and at least I get good usage out of my equipment.

Btw -- future posters reading this please refrain from suggesting I "play at a lower difficulty" or "stop whining", as I find your logic and reasoning simply stomp.

Even Ramirez cannot say "you cannot die McCleod, akshept it", with stomping.

Stomping on the higher difficulties is absurd. Especially when it lags(like 90% of the time) and they just stomp you immediatly without even doing the animation.

Gold was fine without it.
