Hang on, where did my medigel supply go? Why "Stomping" on Gold/Platinum is ridiculously horrendous and NEEDS TO GO.

Especially when it lags(like 90% of the time) and they just stomp you immediatly without even doing the animation.

That is the only problem I see with it.  The immediate instant death is pretty stupid, but lag and latency is a very tricky thing to correct and sometimes is not possible.

I hope BioWare can fix it though.  Having an Assault Trooper walk by, stop for a split second and before I can hit my gel I'm dead just annoys the hell out of me.  Fair deaths I can take, technical fault bull**** needs fixing.

SERIOUSLY OLIVIA!!!
Wow quit complaining, ever think that maybe the higher difficulty means its..oh idk MORE DIFFICULT!!

Stomping has been in the game from the game from the very get go, even in the beta. And i **** well know it doesnt take a rocket scientist to realize that MEDIGEL saves you. Just cuz your to retarded to think and get equipment than spoil yourself on premiums and spectres, how about you actually get enough gear first so you dont post this ridicilous topic.

If youve been on the round for 20 to 30 minutes, its not a waste, you get credits still so suck it up! Stop wasting resources on the little thing, gun the targets down normally, if your surrounded then consider high power equipment and gear usage.Ive done 8 platinums and havent used all my equipment once in the game, why? CUZ I USED MA BRAIN!

If you think the match will waste your so called PRECIOUS equipment then use something you have multiples of, Also YOU CAN EARN IT AGAIN!! Thats the point!!

Your cry to have STOMPING removed from gold and platinum will never happen so dont waste your breath. IT MAKE THE GAME CHALLENGING SO EITHER GET USED TO IT OR DONT PLAY THOSE DIFFICULTIES!!

My ballet slip was torn up and fed to a baby Krogan who couldnt help but laugh at this ridicilous post.

I gotta ask you, how hard did you have to work to become that stupid and aggressive?

Stomping doesn't make the game harder, buddy. All it does is take the game out of our hands long enough to screw us and possibly the whole match over. It's fake difficulty, no matter how you look at it (unless you just don't know what fake difficulty is). It doesn't make the game harder, it just makes the game less fair and more annoying.

EDIT: And I just want to point out to all the other elitists out there, that we don't always run out of medi-gels because we're bad players, it's because half of our matches are with people who absolutely refuse to use their own. It's pretty annoying to us too, you know.

Stomping is good. IT makes being a yahoo wannabe-solo a bad thing and makes team coordination much mroe effective compared to let's-all-run-off play.

But where's the fun in that? ;)

It's nothing new. I've been stomped before on Gold and I'm used to it.

The trick is surviving in the first place until you can clear out all the weaker enemies that "stomp" you.

So not signing. You're asking for a mechanic that has always been there to be removed.

im sorry but i had to bold that part of your post.
so.... can you tell us why you are "used to it" ? :P:whistle:;)

i know this is a quote from page 1 for no other reason than a good giggle but i couldnt help it.
i also know what you mean but the way you worded it got me. i quoted in good fun so dont get mad. :D

It would nice if there were a delay added to at least give teammates a change to revive you, or lower the chance of an execution.

What I find worst however, is being executed by enemies that are nowhere near me. They're not in view of my camera, let alone standing over me. In fact when I go down (say Marauder sniped me on Condor) there mightn't be anything NEAR me yet I STILL get executed in seconds.

I'm fine with bringing executions to these difficulty levels, though they do seem a bit boot-happy. I'm not fine with sniper-stops that end up making every death a sync-kill or a gel-consumer.

EDIT: ...and I get this with light mobile classes that fire at mid-range. I imagine close-range combatives get shafted by this much more severely because of enemy proximity.

agree, even IF the stomp stay, they need to lower their priority, as it go right now it is almost instant kill, since trooper can ignore everything else to stomp you, sometimes you are stomped within a sec you were downed.
They need to make it so troopers only stomp when there is noone else in the vicinity and they should not be able to stomp you until you are less than 50% of the circle.

Neither. Just like responding that way to such requests. I often say the same to people that tell me to have a nice day. All in good fun, of course. :P

The very moment a squad mate goes down, one AI immediately ignores everything in it's line of sight and goes to the downed squad mate. The AI will even go down ladders while taking fire to swiftly attempt stomping the downed squad mate.

If anything, getting stomped on bronze and silver was better, now it is just silly.

I actually saw this happen with Cerberus. An Assault Trooper, while taking fire from me, just ignored me, got out of cover, went down the ladder to stomp (with success) a downed squad mate. One could say, within 3-4 seconds when the squad mate is downed, the trooper stomped him.

Just stood there in suprise watching it happen, and shocked to see the AI taking fire, yelling and still ignoring everything. It's one sole purpose went from taking out the enemy in the line of sight, to ignore everything and stomp on the downed squad mate at any cost.

Interesting thoughts (albeit some more than others). I failed to realise "Ragequit" in-game, can quite easily become "Ragetype", out of game.
Bottom line: I like earning credits. That's why I play Gold. When something new is added that prevents me from doing so, in a timely manner, I question it. Stomping simply adds to the time it takes to make credits and I don't find this recent addition fun, but rather frustrating instead.

Thanks for reading.

Gold was too ez. Needs more curbstomps.

On plat there are hardly any troopers to stomp you. If your whole team gets stomped in wave 2 you weren't going to make it far anyway.

This is ridiculous. How do you figure someone bad (or cheap) enough to get stomped would have been the difference between winning and losing a match? It seems like you would have lost it regardless.

I like the concept of stomping, but the enemy are far too keen at the moment.
Unless you can stun them, theres nothing you can do to interrupt them or distract them from a stomp.  Even throwing a grenade, which WILL kill them, gets ignored as they go for a suicide-stomp.  No attempt to roll from the grenade, no taking cover...

Anyone got a video capture of the new stomping?
Specifically the keenness of enemies to rush downed bodies?  I could only find this, but it's still funny:

QFT, this is just retarded.
I'm not against stomping, I'm against stupid stomping like the one I quoted...leaving cover under crossfire only to stomp someone is indicative of poor AI behaviour.

omg you might fail the mission a few more times? Get over it or play on an easier difficulty.

Omg at omg. Seriously?
Will endeavour to apply the "if it's broken -- why fix it?' and "do what you want to me -- I'll get over it, eventually" mentality you, so sportingly, exhibit.

But it is not broken so... get over it.

Apparently they do make it harder if people are now losing because of it.  He's right though, if you lose to stomps, you werent going to win anyway.

I hate to argue, but stomping isn't fake difficulty the way that article describes it. Try not to go down while there are assault troopers around - very simple.

Examples of fake difficulty from ME3: banshees tractor beaming the player through walls; being executed by atlases that AREN'T EVEN THERE; being unable to aim because lag is making your character teleport between two spots twice a second; getting stuck on an invisible wall.

No amount of skill can save you from getting stomped. I guess you could try to avoid dying, but it was once the hardest difficulty. Expecting people to not die once in a while is stupid. It's gonna happen to the average player.

It's fake difficulty.
