Hang on, where did my medigel supply go? Why "Stomping" on Gold/Platinum is ridiculously horrendous and NEEDS TO GO.

Stomping has always existed, I don't know what the rest of you are talking about...
Well, it never did exist on the Reaper faction, but the Geth and the Cerberus factions always stomped on the fallen within a few seconds of them going down.

But this is a contradiction. If you have the skill to prevent your own death, then by extension you have the skill to prevent your own stompage. Logic, my friend.DullahansXMark wrote...

You are correct.
Try to avoid dying once in an entire Gold match. Lemme know how it goes

I've been stomped on gold before, lots of times by those damned Geth troopers with their accursed rocket-based machine guns. I've never seen it in platinum before because I never played platinum after crashing and burning with PuGs (no mics). But yeah, i've been stomped on gold before. Unless they added it so the Reaper faction can stomp on gold now, it's nothing new to me.

I don't really see your point here. If I go down, I and my team are 100% aware that I might be stomped and will act accordingly, either with medi-gel (the skill required to use this is as simple as pressing a button, by the way) or the game's revive mechanic. Again, not fake difficulty. Just a game mechanic.DullahansXMark wrote...

They're trying to avoid stuff from being farmed, they're encouraging group play and ultimately they're trying to make sure the game stays a challenge - Rather than conventional games that get rather dull and uneventful once you learn the basic **** of it all.

The point I'm getting at is, not everyone's good enough to frequently avoid dying, and if they used the secret power of the almighty medi-gel every time something came around to stomp them, they'd notice their supply dwindle VERY rapidly. And that button won't work every time you press it, because medi-gel are limited.
As for the revive mechanic, can't revive someone if the enemy constantly flocks to them using the powers of super-lightning OCD before you can even register that they're downed.
It's fake difficulty disguised as a game mechanic.

If something can be avoided through skill then it is genuine difficulty, not fake difficulty. Nobody is skillful enough to avoid the mysterious invisible atlas executions, and nobody is skillful enough to recognize an invisible turret from the entire map away, hence those things are fake difficulty.

I can easily play a Silver match without even really paying attention and still win. I find Gold challenging. I want to play Gold, not Silver, because Silver is uninteresting and boring.
I will admit, I'm actually pretty used to the new mechanic at this point, to where it doesn't even really bother me anymore (and I suppose I'm a better player for that), but it doesn't mean I like it at all. The game was more fun without stomping, and just because some elitist people (not you, you're actually civil when being talked to) demand that people shouldn't be able to have fun doesn't mean they should be listened to.

Gold was too ez. Needs more curbstomps.
On plat there are hardly any troopers to stomp you. If your whole team gets stomped in wave 2 you weren't going to make it far anyway.
Curbstomps don't make the game any harder. They just make it more annoying.
Apparently they do make it harder if people are now losing because of it. He's right though, if you lose to stomps, you werent going to win anyway.

What carried a lot of **** players through gold was the lack of it, because all they had to do mash space bar until a team mate revived them, knowing that if worse came to worse, they could wait until the very last moment of bleeding before they gelled, and by that point the area would usually be clear of enemies anyway.
So my thoughts to OP?
Die less. Executions get introduced into gold/plat (like it should have been from the beginning) and now you're losing matches all the time?
The execution mechanic is clearly the root cause of those losses.

As I've stated repeatedly, they're losing for the wrong reasons. Before, people lost matches because they just couldn't do well enough to finish. Now, people are losing because they can't save their allies in time and the downed ally in question has 9/10 of his 'Tap A to not die' gauge filled but no medi-gel.
Explain to me how this is fair.

For those that have entered this thread and unwittingly posted unwanted, unwelcome and previously addressed non-viable suggestions such as "Duh, change level", or "Daa, improve your game", nada-yada: Dullahan's quote sums up a large part of what this thread is in relation to.
Read. Think. Comment. Or get stomped.
