The geth are still laughably easy to farm on gold and even on platinum and need a buff. Especially in the room of doom behind the counters of shame on firebase white farming them is a cakewalk. The geth need something to flush you out of cover, and no, geth primes spawning turrets behind you from across the map or curling rapid fire rockets does not count.

Therefore I suggest that they give the geth troopers arc grenades to flush you out of cover. They will function like player arc grenades, in that they hit instantly, have a 8 meter radius, strip your shields and put on a persisting electrical DOT effect like a banshee warp, if you are unshielded they'll just kill you straight up. On higher difficulties they should also be able to spam them, seems fair considering we as players can do it.

I believe this would be an effective strategy for dealing with geth farming and making geth the destructive force they ought to be, considering what they are. Everyone sign your +1's and bring this to bioware's attention, this is a totally legit idea and would make the geth a more interesting enemy faction, and would no be cheap.

Thoughts?

Also, they should buff the Geth prime and Hunter's rate of fire. As it is their stunlock is not very effective at actually stunlocking anyone except fat krogan and batarians, every character wtith a dodge can easily evade them, which makes the game too easy. They have no instakill units, so getting stunlocked should pretty much equal an instakill imo. Actually, on the topic of instakills, giving primes an execution move would be another good one. He is after all, what the vorcha philosopher would could a ''Big Robot'' and should be able to pick you up and blow your brains out.

Also, grabbing geth has to go, it makes no sense. As the legion VI will show you in the campaign, one does not simply engage a geth unit in fisticuffs and come out on top. A countergrab move for hunters for example would be appropriate.

So yeah, pledge your +1 guise. I'm sure 9/10 people will agree that these changes are for the better, and hopefully we can get a great and constructive discussion going here about these really nice and well though out balance change suggestions :wizard:

Edit:
Fix prime's drone so it can shoot rockets and flank players like it was originally suposed to.  Credit to Star Fury for this great suggestion. Crossfire rockets from rocket troopers and prime drones would be a great addition to the geth faction and totally not annoying.

No, the geth don't need a buff.

I really think Geth farming is no more of problem. With newly introduced objectives.. PUGs success rate is not that high unless there is somebody carrying the team. When combined with consumable hoarder, lack of communication, and recent return of missile glitchers.. FBWGG is not even that easy. Beside.. with new N7 characters, gold is new silver anyway.

Fight Geth on another map. Enjoy your stunlocks!

Wait so you want to buff the weakest enemy in the game, with a move that you can NOT dodge because it is instant AND does not matter that you are in cover AND kills you in one hit?

Yeah I can totally see tons of people agreeing with this idea....

Buffing the Geth to make farming one map harder is beyond stupid because that means it makes them that much harder on all the other maps, which means that farming them on that map is still easier than any other so it solves nothing.

I think a geth trooper nade getting added, that operates like normal grenades, but with more radius and less damage (Paticularly to health. Possibly no stagger,) Would actually be a great anti farming measure, Especially if Geth hunters got nerfed.

Grenades interfere with holling up, which would make farming considerably harder while hitting others much more softly.

Sounds legit. Other good options would be to give the geth prime pulse canon an aoe and airburst like the krysae, and to make geth turrets explode like player combat drones can be upgraded to do.

Bottom line, geth need buffs. All of these changes along with grenades would make them a force to be reckoned with, and a more enjoyable challenge.

This is also the problem. Geth don't need a buff but that room could be nerfed. Making mobs spawn behind the room or just removing some of the counters (changing the inside of the room completely) is way better than buffing 1 race in a way that ruins gameplay on every other map just to fix 1 relatively small issue on 1 map.

TLDR
Change the room or spend time fixing REAL issues like vanguards falling through the ground but do NOT buff geth anymore.

EDIT:
Some people say FBWCG is even easier than Geth (honestly I think the matches are slightly harder but can be farmed much faster) and those troopers ALREADY use grenades yet still dont stop counter camping being easymode. (Also you can counter camp easily on platinum because the banshees also get stuck on it and the cerberus guys cant get you out either). The issue is clearly the room/map and not the mobs.

Wait, what?

Ah, lately I have seen some high N7 people didn`t know how to deal with enemies in Gold. I figured that they were missile glitchers coming back to normal games hodling their normal weapons.

On gold, Geth Rocket Troopers should fire Cobras, I think. :)

How about add new enemies instead of buffing the existing ones? No, geth have too much BS to be buffed, let alone goddamn arc grenades.

If he is somehow associated with bioware and can restore the balance I'm all for it.

This is the worst idea I've ever seen.

Every normal geth would be like rocket troopers, but 10 times worse.

Play on platinum, this is some people only way of getting weapons that can keep up with others around them.

Nah, that would be too much work. Giving the geth grenades however shouldn't take too much effort. Also normal grenades are too easy to dodge, instant hit grenades with huge AOE would be better for scaring the farmers from camping in one spot. This would be a win/win for everyone, for bioware as well. With a little effort and creativity they could end the lame geth camp farming and thus frustrate more people into buying more packs. Everyone wins!

Also, they should give hunters and primes a higher rate of fire to make their stunlock more effective, as it is it can easily be broken by characters with a dodge move and that kind of defeats the whole purpose of a stunlock now doesn't it?
