Sounds legit. Other good options would be to give the geth prime pulse canon an aoe and airburst like the krysae, and to make geth turrets explode like player combat drones can be upgraded to do.
Bottom line, geth need buffs. All of these changes along with grenades would make them a force to be reckoned with, and a more enjoyable challenge.

Tone down the multiple missles that go through walls, the cheap Hunter stun locks, huge hp and shield boosts, Geth Primes spawning turrets behind you, the enormous flamethrower range on Pyros. Then, and only then would I consider giving Geth arc grenades, the faction needs changes, not buffs.
They buffed it and failed as I can take on Geth in Firebase white with a Shadow, one of the least suitable characters due to the Geth Prime's abilities to see cloak and it's still fairly easy. I've also seen Detroyers and played with Demolishers who ripped apart the Geth. Doesn't mean they Geth are weak, it means they did a poor job of buffing them. Demolisher with a Harrier+ Grenade spam, add in a Shadow to detonate the arc grenades and take out the mooks, whilst the Destroyer just rolls over the Primes. Adding arc grenades won't change any of that. It'll just make it a pain and a chore for anyone without those classes to fight Geth on any map.
