Can enemies still sync kill you?

Why is the Rannoch Reaper still a ohko on narrative? It's far too hard for narrative difficulty.

Why is Kai Leng able to cutscene kill Shepard? That part should be easier or an auto-win for Shepard.

After all it is a nonrepresentative difficulty in the game.Posted Image

I'm probably one of the few if only in this forum that plays on narrative since I play for fun and not challenge. You get used to the laser with Rannoch reaper. Key is to stay still and only move a few steps to the side when that beam comes. And target it from before it even opens goes red that way the next time you target it a target is painted. It should be even easier since it's narrative and in narrative I'm essentially bulletproof, but I guess since it's a boss fight setup, they don't make it too easy. I played normal until the rannoch reaper then dropped to narrative after reading how to get past this point. Then I just stayed at narrative since then since I don't care to be challenged or stressed during a game. I care that it's fun and I am enjoying it, but that's my style.

kai leng is another boss type fight. The only key to that is roll and get as far away as possible. Also, as a vanguard I've had reave become one of my main tools. Instant kill when at max. I took it as a bonus power at the beginning of ME2 after seeing how powerful it worked on the mutated asari when I set up for kaidan to use it, and now I reave everything in sight. Most always an instant death at max or at least a much quicker kill.
