Ashley looked much better in ME 3 than ME 1 or 2.

Miranda definitely, just did not like Ashley's personality that much and it was worse in ME2 and ME3.

Hmmmm....  Tough Question, actually.

All my Shepards so far have been Female, and romancing Kaidan, save for the One Male.  And He romanced Tali (I Wanted to get the Paramour Achievement for ME 2), so Ash STILL didn't catch a break, and Miranda still came across as an Ice Queen (albeit more slightly human during Loyalty Mission, and ME 3), and I didn't care for that.

Now, however, I want to get all the bonus talents for ME 3 (and no cheating/editting for this, either), like I did for the other two (I spared Morinth once for Dominate, then immediately reloaded), and since Ash is the only one that will give Marksman, she's going to finnaly catch a break and actually survive Virmire.  On a Male Character.  So I guess that is my choice.

Ashley Williams.   Errr...  Ashley Shepard.

I disagree. I think she looked her best in ME2, even if she was just around for 2 minutes.

What irks me is that Bioware even admitted they changed her look simply for sex appeal. Characterization be damned.

I was really disappointed that i couldn't have both of them in my squad in ME3, so much potential with a ME3 Miranda and her ties to cerberus but all we got is a dragged out watered down boring version of her loyality mission revolving around her sister and a very anti-climatic ending with her father.

Miranda, even if her character is a disappointment in ME3. Bioware ruined her character for me.

People also hate on Ashley cause she's the only squadmate who really questions Shepard. People get mad because of her reaction to you and Cerberus, but in the first game Cerberus murders an alliance admiral AND all his men and you discover they are responsible for the disaster on Akuze, your character's defining tragedy if he is a Sole Survivor. TBH, it never made any sense that you would join them, and Ashley was right to question you about it.

At least Miranda was a professional and didn't behave like a kid, despite her obvious, but probably mild, racist views.

Yes because seeing someone who was confirmed dead come back is suppose to be greeted with "Hey, you're back! Lets go shoot stuff!".

I suspect BW looked at the data on who gets picked on Virmire and decided to make it more even on subsequent playthroughs by making Ashley less appealing in the sequels. Although I still like her fine. I was kinda disappointed that she just stepped out of the way and let Liara have me in ME1 when I tried to play the field a bit though.
