If you think about it ''refuse'' is the most believable ending if it was expanded on. Now it stands out like the biggest middle finger you would ever get in an ending cinematic, because even though your army is 10k or 1k you'd still be granted the same FAILURE. But if that damn ending was affected by the readiness and possibly giving the army a chance of defeating the reapers, imo that is the perfect way to keep the mass effect series going. Because those other endings only provide an end with a conclusion not a presentation of anything that could be the 4th in the franchise. Getting back to the point, Refuse could have been the best choice, because it's the most natural thing shepard would do even though there is space magic that totally eradicateds things in different colours. I think like the Arrival dlc in me2. Refuse gets expanded somehow and the 4th game could be another character (not shepard coz he dies ofc) with another storyline but the pre-story should be the defeat of the reapers through refuse. The other endings even with the extended cut are to much when it comes to how the reapers gets defeated, its so ridicolous it feels like we haven't lifted a finger. its to hollywoodish for a mass effect ending...
I want to hear your opinion and if the other endings are as good or better tell me why and how could they reflect on any mass effect sequel without messing up the lore.
Thoughts on the endings and what could have been the most desired one
