He takes radius on Shockwave, when its bugged.  Here is the build that works.  Human Adept classes are soo Squishy that the extra shields won't matter on Gold/Platinum.

You may want to try this vs Canibals as well as they have more hp (2k instead of 1.2/1.6k)). e.g. I know that a full BE speced singularity + warp with all passives, can fail to kill a Cannibal. (Raw damage should do something like 95% damage, force/warp DOT/other does the rest of the kill. I find you get more guaranteed 1 BE KO's if you let them loft in the singularity for a bit, or if you shoot them a bit first)


You are right, they don't die right after the detonation, but when they hit the ground. I gues it doesn't count as a OHKO then. Sorry...

I rarely need to shoot them tough...

Tried it today, loved it! I love nothing more than BE's left right and center. I've been enjoying the acolyte with the fury too, barely use another gun in my adepts.

The fury's BE is nowhere near as powerful as the adept, that's for sure.

A question about the asari adept, can stasis and warp set up BE's? Or just warp and throw?

Wouldn't taking rank 4 Singularity Duration be better because it lets you trap multiple enemies? Is this glitched or something because if not it seems to be a much better set up.

I love the build, worked quite excellently. I just noticed a few flaws

1. Shockwave stopped working after a while and I couldn't trigger any BE's, I think this is due to radius being bugged (or so I've heard). So I think you might just want to go for Force & Damage for a non-buggy shockwave

2. I think you just need the Geth Plasma SMG with ULM and a high-velocity barrel so it's not so hard to deal w/ guardians if that helps any :3

3. This is just a preference I guess, but I would prefer Detonate over Expand on Singularity as I find that Singularity rarely sticks around long enough to expand, and the detonation would be much help.

^ detonate doesn't detonate until the end of duration. It doesn't add damage. Don't pick detonate since you will never actually use it to the full duration.

I used a build similar to this - you inspired me.

My god, this works SO well. I got double the score of 2nd place fury adept on gold. I was playing geth gold - but not really like how others play. I don't think I meleed a single enemy - instead I just shot out my acolyte (which dominates geth), threw out a singularity, shockwaved. For those enemies that were armored (like pyros) warp/shockwave for the 115% increase BE. Geth hunters are no longer scary when you can take away their entire shields and singularity their butt.

This gun has actually improved singularity. It's now one of my new favorite powers - it should still get a radius buff (despite the fact I have it spec for radius).

Thank you though. I've never felt the HA can keep up with some of the other adepts, but this build is just flatout aweeeesommme.

This build is amazing! even with no Consumables I was killing everything so fast. I knew the Human Adept had potential, but not this much thank you for a wonderful build.

I've been having some amazing fun with this build now, theres nothing more fun the slinging BE's every 5 seconds in UUG :)

Its a pretty simple strategy and the build above has been working great, thanks for the heads up. THis is easily one of my favorite classes right now with the addition of the acolyte X. This is how I've been playing it:

Charge the acolyte and run around:

Low level grunt: singularity - warp - wha BOOM! (one shot kill).

Grunt with shields - one acolyte shot to strip all shields - singularity - warp - wha BOOM! (one shot kill on everything except pyros, brutes, primes, ravagers, atlas, etc.) - repeat as needed facing a group.

Heavier enemies that singularity won't effect (e.g. pyros, primes, atlas) - one or a few acolyte shots to strip shields, pyros only take one shot but bigger baddies can take a few - warp - shockwave - wha BOOM! Repeat repeat repeat.

Man it chews through armor quickly, so much fun to get a prime on my own with nothing but an acolyte and think "yeh i got this".

Brutes and ravagers etc without shields are pretty simply warp - hide - shockwave - wha BOOM! - warp - hide - shockwave etc. etc.


On a side note, does anyone here know how the damage of BE's is culculated? Does it start with its own damage score or is it a combination of the primer and explosive casts? e.g. warp + 50% and shockwave + 75%? Singularity and warp is a powerful one too, surely its not just warp + 50%, how might it be calculated?

The Fury's BE's at noticeably weaker than the human adept, its far more difficult to OHK grunts in gold/platinum.

I mean with the human adept 3 BE's with warp and shockwave is enough to kill an unshielded prime on gold with mental focuser V and IV power damage consumable. Would the gear/consumables effect the strength of the BE's as well?

Thank OP for a great build idea. I rolled this last night trying it out and was a solid 2nd place in two gold matches.

I don't do the recharge time evo's that you suggest, don't really feel like you need them with 200% cooldown.

Also, as another poster suggested, I'd recommend bringing a Geth SMG with ULM and AP mods to help with armored targets. Chews through Guardian's shields quite easily and helps whittle down boss's armor. You still get 200% cooldown even with the second wep.

Amazing how effective this is against Phantoms. Only problem is when they come in large packs on later waves, but that's usually a struggle no matter what.

Finally a way to make Singularity a very effective power...thanks!

Was a bit skeptical about this build, but gave it a try tonight. Worked wonderfully! A lot better than I was expecting. I had to change shockwave, though, since radius seemed to bug out for me during wave 5, but even without the radius I had a good time with my HA...

You can angle a singularity over a guardian and it'll land above and behind them, if your on PC its easily repeatiable and works for all powers.  On xbox its a different story.

However, if you have the expand option you can essentially do this 100%  of the time on consoles,   just aim up while still locked on to the target the singularity will pop ontop of them, this will cause them to get knocked back however after a second it'll expand the first expand is enough to pick the guardian right up.

Getting the angle right with detonate is much much harder on xbox at least(what I play).

About detonate though, I keep that option on my phoenix adept (expand on human) for some reason certain things can trigger it to detonate early having certain amount of targets within its vincinity seems to do it.   Seeing as I can shoot it at a ravager, blow the sacks off a ravager with my gun then have the singularity detonate with extreme reliability.  Only had it not do it once since I figured out I could do that.  Then again though I can't say it for certain only that at certain times it will detonate early without a biotic explosion triggering it.

Nope(and neither does the +power damage from racial passives), only thinks affecting the strenght of BE are those few specifig power evolutions that say they do

This build is super fun, but it also leaves me wondering...

I imagine I may ramble as I am sleepy...

How does the Phoenix compare? Singularity, Smash (should deal some obscene damage when specced right), and Lash function similarly to the Regular human with an addition of pull and subtraction of range and Detonation power.

With the Acolyte one can actually ignore the shield penetration on Lash and instead make it better for Biotic Explosion priming. Singularity + Smash will wreck any non boss, but lacks the distance of Shockwave. Smash will wreck bosses and may well be even better than Warp + shockwave damage wise. 880(if you take the Dot) + 660 (armor effectiveness) puts you at 1540 damage with another 440 Damage occurring over the next few seconds, which, as we all know, is pretty devastating. Does it actually compare to the damage of a Biosplosion created by Warp and Shockwave?

This may warrant testing.

I was using a build simalar last night and really loving it since I always thought the human adpet was crap out of pure ignorance.

I was not aware that power bonuses from alliance training did not affect biotic explosions so I will try 6/6/6/0/6 as suggested, I am a huge fan of any build revolving around the beast known as the acolyte. Its great to find solid builds using the default human classes, human solider is amazing too.

Is the radius for shockwave fixed on PC?
I just played a gold match with batarian sentinel and I was able to detonate the explosions of my fellow asari friend? Can someone answer me please?
