Yeah, i was giggling a bit about the "godmode" reference too... doesn't make sense. Ungod-mode perhaps?

Well the cover accuracy bonus is situational, as it requires... well, cover. I dont see a need to remove that.

GI/TS/Destroyer have accuracy bonus that doesn't depend on cover.

Thos bonuses come at a cost: Survivability (GI), Utility (TS) and Agility (Destr).

Still perfectly fine if you ask me.

It is fine with all other weapons. But when working with a shotgun the chemistry is just too strong that shotguns become sniper rifles.

It doesn't make sense anyway. How can the skill of a marksman affect how pellets fly?

How come that Oculus cuts the Normandy's hull like butter, but Shepard can withstand a few seconds of sustained fire from it?

The problem is with the GI not with the Piranha. GI has very high weapon bonuses. So if you want to nerf something, nerf GI.

The GI also dies if a swarmer sneezes on it...

That is a lie. You are not putting anything in fitness. That is not his fault. TC+HM give you the ability to move effortlessly around the map. You can avoid anything even the nasty little swarmers.

I love the (il)logic of the people wanting the Piranha nerfed, one class does exceptionally well with a gun that everyone else does average with, so it must be nerfed into oblivion. Image IPB

Goddamn call of duty kiddies still don't understand this is an RPG hybrid and we have a role affectionately known as "glass cannon" for its incredible offensive and pathetic defense.

Exactly. Yes the GI has Tactical Cloak, but that hardly makes you immune to enemy fire, as all the geth rockets that I've managed to block with my face while cloaked can attest to.

Infiltrators are the rogues of the ME universe, high dps, but if things don't die from the opening burst, they go splat without a tank to save them.

Well... the make sense part is only used to help the gameplay propose.

Smart Choke + extra accuracy is making shotguns working like sniper rifles. (Applies to Talon, too.)
Maybe it is time to think if this should be cut down so shotguns work as shotguns.

You aren't doing it right if your geth doesn't have health bonuses. Although putting 6 ranks into shield is redundant, because it only give you less than 100 extra shield when HM is running. And geth get an extra 10% passive shield recharge speed on top of the 15% other classes get. My geth is not squishy

This is actually a good idea.  Get rid of the smart choke, and adjust some of the accuracy bonuses and some of these problems would go away.  This would definately balance out the claymore more, however the pirahna would still be ridiculous.

He has one one of the highest survivabilities in the game. He staggers everything and quickly picks off everything. He can see everything on the field before he is in any danger.

Now the drell that is a squishy class.

They already nerfed GI, for crying out loud. And that gun is very overrated. It's short-range and is only effective with certain classes. For God's sake, I'd give you 1,000,000 credits just to shut up.

I have a feeling that you dont really understand the whole "cost / benefit" thing... Or maybe you're just trolling.

And they do not become sniper rifles or any other rifle for that matter, not even close. The accuracy is increased by a percentage, so in this case, you increase the actual range of which you get all 8 pellets to hit by a very small margin.

The shotguns that really benefit from the increased accuracy in terms of effective range are the semi accurate ones. They, on the other hand, dont do a lot of damage... because that is the price of the benefit of their greater accuracy.

Claymore has 1 shot in the chamber, low spare ammo and it weighs a ton. That is the price it pays for its perks.

I have 4 ranks in fitness, the fourth is in melee. Shield gate is enough to get you through a lot when you couple it with the situational awareness from hunter mode and TC for getting out of a bad situation. That's how it should be though - there's a big difference between being able to use hunter mode and TC effectively, and "sniping" with a krysae that autodetonates if you're anywhere near the target.

Claymore also 1 shots most things, does insane damage, isn't that low on ammo

classes you're going to use it on don't really care that much about weight

So what are the drawbacks again? It's basically a shotgun you can snipe with when using the accuracy mod

And that was my point, you shouldn't be able to put that much accuracy on a shotgun and turn it into a sniper rifle that does massive amounts of damage

Woah, hold it there. I never said he wasnt. He is the definition of a glass cannon. He has absurd damage output but he is the one that will down if someone looks at him funny. He should have brought something other than a trenchcoat.;)

The GI is not a glass cannon. Spec him for 4/5/6/6/5. He'll outlast anything else on the field.
