The Wraith isn't a terrible weapon, although I do think it could bare to get a tweak. The only weakness I really see in the weapon is the poor rate of fire. If they were to say...change the RoF to 80, this gun would most certainly be worthy of UR status.

Wraith on a Kroguard? I mean he mostly gets melee kills anyway, but it seems to work pretty well for me.

Wraith on a phoenix vanguard was my go to thing, but the advent of pistol ULM has made it so very obsolete.

Talon is best IMO for the Smashguard. It fits my cerberus colo r scheme too, which helps

The Wraith is just too sexy on a justicar though. The way she pumps it... Uhhhh sorry. I need to go clean myself up now.

I mostly did the same until recently, since I'm now low on SG rail amps.

Let's remember that Wraith like most shotguns fires 8 pellets, but Talon fires only 6. In general I agree with you.

It needs a buff, the talon leave it in the dust.

The Claymore, Piranha, GPS, and the charging 3 shot shotgun are all better shotguns as well.

Weird...those are the only three URs I have at anything other than rank I: Saber V, Scorpion III, Wraith V. Sounds like the store is trolling us both the same way (although at least I have one of most of the other URs).

It used to be my favourite shotgun...

It hasn't been nerfed but the nemesis got buffed along with several cerberus units, that's why.

The wraith isn't really meant to be a hard hitting weapon - just look at its weight. It's a hybrid weapon that dishes out excellent damage if used properly. Stick it on a batarian soldier and you'll just crush things combining a high damage/spread ballistic blades followed by some quick headshots. It is most certainly an excellent weapon for silver, and used properly, I can't see why it wouldn't work in gold.

Having said that, it's ROF is a bit low considering it only has 2 shots. If they were to add in an extra shot or increase the ROF, I feel that would be a great buff without making it OP. It's not the best shotgun, but it's far from the worst.

I enjoy using the Wraith but at this point I only use it over the Talon if a) I want points for style (Wraith looks and sounds great or I have shotgun rail amps but no pistol amps. The Talon's 4 shots per clip are just too huge over the Wraith's 2. Then there's the Piranha which muddies the issue even more. A higher ROF could make the Wraith truly great, but right now it's I think it's just viable (any level) without being in the ranks of the elite guns.

I have seen some people who call it ''great'' on these forum use it in game, great is definately not the word I'd use to describe the gameplay.

No matter how you look at it, the Wraith is a sub-standard shogun. Outclassed by Claymore, GPS and Piranha big time and they're only rares...
