Am I the only one having trouble with party member AI?

All I want is simple: if you are attacking an enemy, continue attacking that enemy after I tell you to use an ability. Unless I have told you to attack an enemy, stay where you are.

I constantly have to keep re-telling everyone to re-attack their enemies. Getting a bit tiresome really.
