My headcanon is Harbinger killing Shepard and squad during the conduit run.

Shepard doesn't even live in Destroy anymore. That's up to the player to decide.

I prefer that Shepard bleeds out after his/her final chat with Anderson. Hackett never tells you that the Crucible isn't firing bc it does fire and whatever it does, it allows for the galactic fleet to defeat the reapers.

How is Destroy the lesser of three evils? You essentially Destroy the reapers yeah but at the cost of all synthetic life in the galaxy and pretty much crippling the galaxy for god knows how long. Plus if you think long term the there will never be a council or galactic government again and the cycle pretty much continues where synthetics destroy all life with no reapers to stop them :/ You basically learn nothing.

My logic was that it allowed us to self-determinate without the tech or help of the Reapers. My Shep fought for just that - so did the geth. No compromise. Control you use the Reapers to rebuild the Galaxy and still rely on their tech. Synthesis you become one with their tech (still not sure on synth mechanics). Destroy you give the galaxy a reboot (since it was already built on their tech) and life continues on without any influence by the reapers.
At least that is my opinion.
As for learning - ya I can see the loss on that. Synth gives you infinite knowledge, but the knowledge was stolen from other races by killing/converting them to Reapers. I am still biased on Synth though

How is Destroy the lesser of three evils?
Control is analogous to giving Galadriel the One Ring.
Synthesis, everyone is assimilated, whether they like it or not.
Refuse, everybody dies.
At least in Destroy, the survivors have a chance to escape all these fates.
