I pick it because that is what Shepard is supposed to do according Anderson "You were hired to kill Reapers" so my Shepards do their job. I just wish that EDI and the geth survive.

I think the EC of the Control ending is creepy. Namely because of the electronic echo added to Shepard's voice.

I think the EC of the Synthesis ending is just too weird.

I think the EC Refusal ending is just stupid.

originally that was my reason but then I started developing a negative attitude toward synthetics in general

No matter how hard the writers and characters try to convince me, EDI and the Geth are -not- alive. they are just smart machines.

so I'll sacrifice them if it means destroying the big robot cutttlefish , who think they are doing good by slaughtering trillions of souls every 50K years.

"Destroy is what Shepard is supposed to do" is a horrible excuse to pick Destroy. It just means that you don't like freedom of choice and would prefer to do as you're told.

My cannon Shep has always disliked and distrusted AI (The Geth were already gone after Rannoch, and I never liked EDI) so that part was a non-issue. Beyond that, kill the Reapers what's not to like. Especially when You consider that Shep's been telling TIM that control was a bad idea for the last two games (Don' t get me started on Synthesis).

Oh and StarBright's full of it, so screw the whole grandchildren vs synthetics thing.

I chose destroy because it was the most acceptable one to me. I didn't like the Illusive man, so control wasn't an option, in synthesis you lose everything what it means to be alive and refuse is like saying "Nah, don't want to choose, let the next cycle do it " so yes I picked destroy, but not because shepard lives at the end.

My Shepard died in Destroy.

So did Garrus and Javik. I picked Destroy anyway.

Same here.

Same for my Shepard. Shepard surviving reinforces the destroy option for me even more. The destroy ending was not a "bitter pill" for me, my Shepard was a synthetic destroyer anyway.

I prefer my Reapers rusting in the sun, not building kiddy water parks with the synth people.

I chose Destroy because there is no redemption for the genocide the Reapers are responsable for!
The scale is beyond our imagination
even as a 97% paragon that I am, I say: "unforgivable !:"

The other reason I picked Destroy is that I thought Shepard was being indoctrinated the first time I played the game. Control and Synthesis were choices indoctrinated people made prior to that level (Saren and TIM). The only choice resisting indoctrination was Destroy.

I agree with you to an extent. Some people really are this vain "Um, i picked destroy cus den the reapers r dead and shep is ment to kill 'em". However, fortunatly, people here give proper explainations instead of simply denying the pros of other options.

Destroyers in general are fine, if they have their own preferences. But this particular reason is a bad one.

So you in turn commit genocide on another race to satisfy your need for vengeance?

No, people only pick destroy because they don't want to admit that the so-called "Cerberus Fan Boys" were right all along.

This too.

Who's to say he could continue resisting their indoctrination attempts if he just let go of Destroy altogether.

no, but having Shepard AI replace the Starbrat is a good thing.  If you pick any ending other than Reject, the Starbrat resigns from his post in disgrace.

I choose Destroy, I elimated a species that has claimed countless lives over millions of years, and has been my #1 enemy since I found out what Soverign truly was

although,if he had to think about it, considering everything and extended content, Control seems like what my shep would do, becuase that would be the ultimate way to protect not only his friends, but the galaxy for millions of years to come

I picked Synthesis the first time, cuz all choices were horrid, and the poor execution ripped me clear out of immersion, so I walked straight. Watched a disturbing cut scene, then waited for EC. In the EC, I picked Destroy, in spite of it going against my Shepard's more recent decisions, and that ending was less creepy.

I didn't choose it because Shepard lives (Shepard never lived at the end. That breath scene was just a cheap cop out; BioWare being too scared to commit to the fact that he/she died, and nothing more). I chose it because I didn't wanna see glowy eyed freaks again and I will throw my PS3 out the window before I let my Shepard become a Reaper Overlord. :P
