If that's how you chose to look at it fair enough.

While living in destroy is a big factor in why I think its the best ending, I still would have picked destroy even if Shepard dies in it.

For me, Destroy presents the best future for all life. That kid's been f*cking around with the course of nature for too long now.

I would still pick Destroy even if the only way to explode that tube was to fly the Normandy in it with all your team inside kamikaze style, no joke.

Its the only choice where the star child and the reapers are dead.Edi and the Geth are collateral damage for the greater good.

I pick destroy for three reasons. 1.) I don't want a GodChild determining my fate for me. That's not his place to decide. No one has that right. Especially an A.I. 2.) I wanted to see if Shepard actually got up. And 3.) The Reapers and that stupid kid destroyed many civilizations. They deserved to be killed off.

I picked destroy on my first playthrough seeing that shepard live was worth it. And pre-EC seeing Shep alive made me think that DEI and the Geth were okay.

I picked destroy, because of the other options, it is the least morally abhorrent.

I did.

The only reason I chose Destroy with my femshep was because I knew she would survive.

Control is still the way I roll with my canon Shep though, it's my favourite ending fo sho.

I always choose Destroy. StarBrat can gussy it up all nice and pretty-like with deep spiritual explanations (honestly, shouldn't that kid be in school or something?) but to me, "Control" is what the Illusive Man wanted and "Synthesis" is what Saren wanted.

The fact that my Shepard lives I consider a nice bonus.

Yes, proudly. My MaleShep and FemShep deserve to settle down with Liara and Kaidan and enjoy a nice, well-earned retirement. The hell with the greater good, this series is about the characters we know and love.

I really didn't care whether Shepard lives or dies. Before ME3 was released, I always knew that Shepard might have to die to save the galaxy.

HELL YEAH BLUE BABIES FTW

I must admit. I picked destroy because of this too. Liara's my girl.

Picked Destroy, didn't survive. Found out you could survive, replayed EC, picked destroy and survived.

I automatically choose Destroy because it's what Shepard has been seeking this entire trilogy.

If Control and Synthesis let Shepard live, and Destroy did not, I'd still pick Destroy every time.

Nope I died the first time I picked destroy. Survived after the EC lowered the EMS required.

I think I preferred heroically sacrificing myself though.

I pick destroy because, regardless of morality, it appears to be the less far fetched and most lore friendly ending of the three...err..no wait, "sixteen" endings!

Between a jump into a green beam which turns everyone into a half robot (and that idiotic "new DNA" nonsense), trying to upload my "soul" into something hoping it would work...to be yet not to be...(sorry I don't believe in afterlife of any sort, neither did my Shepard since ME1: it was made clear to Ash!) or to destroy the reapers, I chose the latter.

I first picked it when I thought Shepard would die(and he did because I had yet to play mp), so no, I don't pick it so Shepard lives. That is just an added bonus.

I chose Destroy because there is no redemption for the genocide the Reapers are responsable for!
The scale is beyond our imagination
even as a 97% paragon that I am, I say: "unforgivable !:"

So you in turn commit genocide on another race to satisfy your need for vengeance?

You killed everyone...

I saved countless generations actually. :innocent:

With genocide, you mean the Reapers ?
I think it's clear they're beyond negociating with...
Also, a Reaper is nothing but a perversion of life of the races they once harvested. Twisted into serving the very bane of their existance. The Reapers themself have no culture, no compassion or anything.
Their only function is to harvest or destroy other civilizations.
Yes, i'd sleep well, if I whiped them off the face of the universe.

As for EDI and the Geth.
You're right, that would make me sad...more than my cold reasoning above would suggest.

The Control and Synthesis choices are just not an otion for me.
I won't change every living thing in this universe just because I would think it's best for them
As for Control....I don't buy it. The Star Kid created the Reapers out of the best intentions. (i.e. Protecting everybody)
What if Star Shepard get's it in his mind to "protect" everybody from THEMSELVES and starts the cycles all over again. ?

Shepard didn't even survive for me until the EC lowered the required EMS.

I'm not a big multiplayer fan.
