I pick destroy because it is the only one that destroys the Reapers. The fact that Shepard might also survive in the end is just a bonus.
Be honest, how many of you pick Destroy...

I picked destroy without knowing if shep was going to live or not, I just wanted to kill the reapers. Not sprinkle them with green empathy magic or do the very thing I shot the main antagonist over mere seconds ago.

I pick Destroy because I'm tired of the Reapers and their damned inconsistencies and HOOOOOONNNNKKKKKKKKing noises. Shepard living is just a bonus.

No.
Control has the potential to work very well but it has an equal chance of going very badly some point down the line, its high risk, high reward. Just how comfortable will these races be, considering how much they bickered at each other, with the Reapers (who the races have just seen butchering their own kind) being noticeably in control? Remember they likely don't know its a Shepard AI.
I personally don't entertain the notion of Synthesis, just a little too creepy for my liking and I don't like the idea of physically changing everything without them even remotely knowing about it until its happened.
I don't LIKE Destroy but IMO its the safest of three very harsh options. The people who remain afterwards are free to determine their own future (definitely not saying its going to be sunshine and roses). Destroy was my first choice when I was role playing. The Breath scene was an insignificant little bonus which could still mean that Shepard is just taking their final breath before dieing. I don't like the part about the Geth and EDI dieing however.
