I'm still waiting for console games to support KBM.
You never know what might happen if you request it on their boards.

They wouldn't need to have two seperate UIs. Skyrim uses the same interface for pc and console. If I'm using a controller, the game just says to press the x button instead of some button on the keyboard.Gibb_Shepard wrote...
Bioware would have to invest in two completely different UIs. If they won't even add a toolset because they think the PC community is too small; why would they add controller support, which would take far more work?

The Skyrim UI is an inconvenience. The Dragon Age PC UI with a controller is an impossibility.

And Skyrim's interface is one of the most frequently criticised aspects on PC.

The controller has 3 free buttons. There is a radial menu on the console for a reason.

What would prevent using the 360/PS3 UI then?

Is it really that hard to import 360 gamepad code support to PC? I mean, a lot of PC gamers use 360 gamepad since M$ likes to block other gamepads in GFWL(or use to). I never understood this in Mass Effect. How the heck do those games exclude gamepads...?
I guess it's not in because they'd have to import the UI from console. The wheel menu and such. Extra resources devoted into something they don't have high on their list I guess. I kinda agree because with the current PC UI, M/KB is fine, IMO. I actually prefer it because I don't have to pause gameplay as much. Pausing gameplay in a game like DA2 is complete immersion breaking. Especially in a game where the combat is so fast...
I like to stress myself and input commands in RT. Like playing a RTS. But due to certain factors in Bioware's combat(namely horrible AOE targeting), you're almost forced to pause. This is something I want fixed but that's another topic.
And I'm just speculating here but I don't think importing gamepad+console UI is that much work. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong though...

I think it's lazy on Microsoft's part to make us use third-party programs to get KBM to work on the 360.deuce985 wrote...
While I don't play Bioware games with a gamepad on PC, I still think it's lazy design on their part to make us use third-party programs to get them to work. And even then, it's buggy.
