The only thing I want is to be able to travel to Orlais and maybe more encounters on the map. Other than that, I'm good since the rest of the problems can be fixed by the mod community (for us PC players at least).

I want more random encounter (escort npc from an onslaught of riders),

more twisted and lot of drama side quests that keep us wanting more after reading the request by the NPC ,

more contents to get us so hook it made us dream of it in our sleep,

more side quests with short travel time,

more choice where i able to control other VIP npc and play their roll before and after until they meet my character (play as Sophia , Duncan etc),

more encounter surprise (controlling a tribal leader, village mayor to lead an army to defend or invade a castle and keep it your own ,

more nightly random raid from sexy assassin where we get lots of good and delicious dialogue to choose from,

more random generated map with different encounter with setting i can set,

more features where I get to travel any where without the need to run out from a dungeon when there is no battle, but the current portal mod i had fixed that hehe,

but most importantly FAST LOADING WITHOUT the draw back after 7+ hours of playing :kissing:

* More Morrigan (Claudia Black FTW!)

* Continuation of character from DA:O + consequences of actions taken in DA:O

* Better 'atmosphere' (refer to games like 'The Witcher' or 'Morrowind')

* More sidequests/longer 'main plot'

* Twice the dialogue as DA:O :P

* Broader specializations

* More random encounters

* Guns :D

Dr Catt makes a good point. All my frustrations with the game are really largely because of how engrossed I am with it. More more I'm still not satisfied as Tom Lehrer once said.

Yet, there are some things that I would like.

class based quests (as others have suggested)

More character based quest/interaction (especially if they impact upon the plot)

Choice of taking over denerim (like Morrigan suggested. Just why tease us with that?)

Combat: This is something that games as a whole always disappoint on. There is such a dependence on the visual hack and slash approach that it is moving on from silly/comical to downright frustrating (especially in games purporting to realism.) So a couple of things:

When an enemy misses I want to see either the character blocks or dodges. OR parries and ripostes! This, some might say, will make it look too turn based (but dueling is turn based. And when you are fighting enemies that won't die like true mortals then a natural fight simulation - where errant swings of swords will cut limbs and dismember heads etc- isn't really doable. So we settle with convincing duel style combat.) Basically i want the combat to be cinematic, to feel the impact, to really sense my characters bad ass skills with sword, axe etc. Moreover you're character would not be able to defend behind him (unless really badass like a ninja) so any enemy attacking from behind should automatically raise alarm bells, cause massive damage (even fatal).

Weapons:

More. Halberds, spears, morningstars, falcions, broadswords. essentially the whole arsenal used during hundred years war.

Which leads me to one thing, of many, that I like to have: the ability to make and design your own weapons in game. The only chance you have is starfang...which someone else makes and, well, looks pretty ineffective as a sword really.

Mind you...I'd also like to be Lord Cousland, preparing my forces against any enemy, dealing in politics and so on...but thats just me.

Here's my wishlist:
- I want even more dialogue, especially more variety in conversation options and increase the amount of severe consequences. Make the conversations more cinematic, in the vein of ME2 (eg. improve the camerawork, facial animation etc).
- The choices made in DA:O should have an impact in the sequel. I wouldn't necessarilly like it to be as direct a sequel as ME2 is to ME (as i want DA2 to have new origin stories), but some relatively lighter level of connection between the two games would still be awesome.
- More quirky, deep partymembers. The DA:O NPCs were great, but a bit bland in general (though I think that has been a bit of a problem with most BioWare's characters), in my opinion. I want even more depth for them (through an increased amount of NPC specific sidequests, more varied dialogue etc). But instead of having a couple of really astonishing characters, I want all of them to be astonishing! :)
- More varied monsters! I want there to be dozens and dozens of different varieties and species.
- Even larger scale. Have the setting be a country much larger than Ferelden. Orlais, for example, or perhaps Tevinter. And within that country have an even larger amount of different places to visit.
- A more surprising, creative plot. DA:O's story was great, but I felt it was very traditional. Traditional is a good way to start a franchise, but I feel you should try something a bit more creative and ambitious with the sequel. Perhaps dive even deeper into the realms of dark fantasy?
- Make the Qunari a playable race! :)
- Keep and evolve the Origins concept! It's one of the greatest innovations in the RPG front in years, if you ask me. But make it even deeper and more impactful. You went through the architypes in DA:O, so you should have the origins in the sequel be something more specific, more special. Apostates, keepers, templars, princes, mercenaries, wildsmen... there are alot of possibilities! Also, add in _a lot_ more origin specific sidequests. You should try and squeeze every drop of awesomeness out of this superb concept! :)
- And in general, put more polish into everything from the graphics to the gameplay balance.

all above mentionend and...pleeeeeease let us have the option to play as one of the DA:O followers as main char in the sequel (starting as king allistair should be interesting for e.g., but please no quick end of him being king through betrayal or whatsoever. stripping him of power would be quiete a lame way to start with him as mc. actually that is what i kind of didn´t like with the dwarf noble and the others, to become an outcast to let us join the wardens. be creative! :D ).

- Yes! some crafting would be terrific. weapons, shields armor you name it.

- definitely more indept sidequests, the black boxes and boards where lame. travel there, bash that and get 1 gold without debriefing. boring. sry. was just a game time stretcher for everyone like me who just didn´t want the game to be over to soon.

- a keep, lair or camp which can be upgraded an used in various ways and also the possibility to train your own army. think of nwn2. yes that would be like copying...but why not when it IS an highlight. bring in more global strategic elements. housing ftw.

-let as have an more immideate reaction for our deeds. supporting a dragon cult? get kicked ass bye the curch or so and embed those factions more DURING the game not only too decide which troops will fight in the end. it should have certain advantages to ally with a faction and i mean not only "oh! you can buy that at their merchant blah".the factions are actually a rly cool feat of the game....golems, templars werewolves hrhr. indept it.

- more playable races and longer prolouges. (they were just grrrrreat! morrrre!) let some later pc´s join during the prolouge. for example it would have been cool to have your buddy from the beginning as a pc later in the game. just like the dog for the human noble....but with story and sidequests :P

- whatelse....AH! make a sequel!!!! >.< when is it done?

Oh I forgot something from combat. Again to do with realism etc

Different weapons are used in different ways and I kinda wish the animations would demonstrate this. Instead we get the slightly ridiculous situation where a backstabbing rogue (by action not personality) is stabbing something with an axe. That just would not work. It's blunt on that bit.

What would be possible is that said rogue could use the hooked edge of the axe to catch foe by the leg and have him prone for an execution.

That, I feel, would be cool. Assassin's Creed cool.

My biggest gripe is my character could not talk. I just felt like they didn't put as much into this as they did ME and ME2.

More synchronized animations. Not just deathblows either, though more of those would be nice too. And close combat deathblows for mages and archers involving them getting creative with their arrows/bows/staves/glowing bits.

It was something that really added to the personality of DA:O--the combat was brutal, and messy.

On the storyline side of things, I want to see that messiness carried over. I want to feel like these characters are in the world and subject to its dangers. For example, characters that worry about or contract blight sickness, are wounded in battle, or even die in the course of the game (not endgame) a la Ashley and the biotic guy in Mass Effect (Hah, "the biotic guy." I guess you can tell which one I saved...).

Personally I'd hope to see an expansion before a sequel, though it might be a bit harder to deliver to those of us with the Console version. Though for a sequel I would like to see:

General Requests:

- More Specializations: The current 12 are decent but there isn't enough diversity I think to cover a wide range of ideas and they feel limiting in a way especially with mages they feel to conflicting with each other.

- A Race or 2: I can understand why they have only 3 races right now because of the origin stories but I would like to see other races expanded upon, the Quanrri (Am I a spelling that right?) seem like an interesting race and I would love to see more about them. The Werewolves also seem interesting but I doubt they would ever be playable with out modding. (Which I can't access anyways)

- Another Area of the World: I'd hope the next one would take place in another part of the world similar to how the Elder Scrolls Series did things.

- More Dwarf / Elf Companions: Currently we have Zev and Oghren as our only Dwarf / Elf companions and Sten is Quanrri. I'd like to see more diversity in the party as far as races go because everyone else is Human. (Discounting your Dog and Shale)

- Less Preorder / DLC Items: I feel horribly bogged down with these items at the beginning of the game and it is really immersion breaking when my Dwarf Commoner is running around with enough money in his pockets from selling all the DLC items to feed the entirety of the Caste-less for several weeks.

Console Version Requests:

- Issued Movement Commands: There is no reason our version shouldn't have gotten this, it could have been easily done just how the placement spells like tempest are placed, I realize our version is suppose to play more like an action game and it is fun that way if you ask me but still there were crucial times I could have used a movement command.

Other then that I am loving the game, the Graphics are pretty enough for me and the enjoyment and combat is very addicting.

1. Don't make the game about a new Blight. It

will be really boring to have the same goal and only new ways to get

there, and it will get pretty ridicolous in the end and ruin the story.

Make it about an invasion from the Quanari or something new instead.

(Also, the last Blight was like 400 years ago. It wouldn't make sence,

especially if you want to put in old characters)

2. Don't make

us Grey Wardens. Same reason as above more or less. The Gray Wardens

are only needed for Blights, if there is no Blight then they are pretty

useless. We could for example be recruited into the army or something instead.

3. Don't place it in Ferelden. This is not as important as the above, but it will make the game a lot fresher if you put it in Antiva or Orlais or something. New cities, new politics and so on.

Non-Linear would be nice...and yes i know they are different endings and different choices to make but for the most part in the game you Always have to go to Haven...you always have to go to the dalish camp...you always have to go to redcliffe...you always have to go...etc...I wanted the option to go to orlais or north and find the other grey wardens!

A true non-linear game would have no story line, no buildup of a plot. This could work, but you'd just be playing events which wouldn't lead to anything. Basically a RPG without a main quest, which would be interesting but very hard to conceptualize.

It would be doable, a random sequence of events (well, player-choosing random ofc, but that's about as random as it gets). The individual events could influence eachother in a way, like you killed someone's evil brother and instead of a bandit helping you he tries to kill you or something, you get the point.

It would be interesting to see, but I cannot begin to imagine what kind of vast resources would be needed to create a game like that.

Much more speed for the overall combat animation, so I don't feel like my ashmatic character takes 2 years to do a shield bash.

New game engine so world travel is handled the same way as in titles such as WoW and Oblivion , seamless
and no bloody waiting for minutes on end for new area to load - it's
just 'old'.

Increased Beastiary

More weapon types - no katanas, WTF?? Gnash gnash gnash[smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie]

Continuation of character from original game (as others have mentioned)

'Free' camera mode for taking that all important screenie of your toon.

Image IPBImage IPBMy wish list would include:

The ability to set your parties formation (I.E. Alistair in the front, morrigan in the back)

More visual differences in the armor types. Dull, Shiny and Shinier do not count.

more open world exploration , or more "events" during the quick travel.

I'll think of more as I get further into the game

I´d divide my requests in terms of plot and in terms of gameplay. Let´s go for it.

*Gameplay:

-More threatening warriors: rogues, if used tacticaly can be devastating; mages even more; but warriors? The "stop only attack" thing, the average hit and average threat that warriors are is ridiculous compared to other classes.

As a matter of customization, the talents for warriors are pretty much useless compared to stuff such as lethality or spell combos.

-Heavier use of the environment: bottlenecks are nice but since the mechanics rely on tactics, the environment should be used too. Little things such as increased damage for different altitude (stairs or creeks) can be a nice addition to give an example. Formations can be complicated to implement, but they could give a nice extra for underpowered warriors as above mentioned

-More companions in game: four is nice, but more companions at the same time allows more tactics, more interactions and less "tricks" managing increases or lowerings in companions´ appreciation.

-XP rewards: if you get out of a situation without using weapons, you should get the same XP than just killing all the opposition. This just erases the feeling of "if I´m a good or charming guy I get less rewards than just slaughtering everybody".

*Plot

-All the present companions back! Yes, they´re cool, they can change (or stay the same) and some of their backgourds (I´m not commenting on that) can unfold more plot lines.

-Go on playing with your present character: same as previous, still some more stories to tell about your warden.

-More variety of people from all Thedas. I´d like to see how people from Nevarra, the Anderfels or wherever else is!

-Give us something to take care of: you know how the Crossroad Keep worked in NWN2 or the "base" in BG2. I´d like to have the possibility to spend money and expand/improve my "little home".

Assimilate the makers of The Witcher, CD Projekt Red, into Bioware. They're already making a game with day and night cycle with great graphics for The Witcher 2.

The ability to continue play from our current characters in DA:O, at least the ones who survive, instead of starting anew and only hearing tales of the great Grey Wardens of the past. Of course, levels can reset, but maybe the specializations remain. This of course would also require that some of the party characters remain an option, such as Alistair. It's already likely that Morrigan will come back.
