Better engine...and for the love of God an optimized one (But this is unlikely to happen)

(Sorry if this was mentioned before I only skimmed the topic)

Well, I just gotta say a Genie shop keeper similar to what Bioware setup for Hordes of the Underdark would be nice... I hate having to run out of the third lvl of a dungeon to sell stuff to make room for more loot.

Town portal scrolls would be handy too... though I guess could be camp portal scrolls or something...

Upgradeable arms and weapons... Not just Runes, things like adding extra steel to breast plate or adding dragon scales to existing Leather armor enhancing the existing sets.

Instituting a way to earn more gold, like gambling.... just because!... throw Pirate cards in or something!!... (Thanks Adam MIller .. Awesome mod BTW)... we could all use more gold.

A military campaign against the coming Qunari invasion, where your character is part of a larger army, although segregated in a commando unit in a 'dirty dozen' kind of way.

I'd like to see missions that can be lost (ie: take your revenge on a turncoat military commander, but inadvertantly set your own side up for a loss), where failures/risks have an impact on the end game (ie. too many high risk moves resulted in greater losses to your side. You don't have enough men to win the war. War ends with you setting up guerrilla units instead of holding the line or winning the war.).

At least 5 members in your party . More quests , more side-quests , more plots . And i want to be able to interact with all beings . Because some of them just don't move and don't talk . Come on Bioware !

Oh and more items .

I don't know if I should post this on the this topic. First of all, I thought this game was amazing. Really one of the best games I have played. I would love to see an expansion for DA:O. The reason I am saying this is because I'm a very impatient person and I cant wait 2 years for the sequel of the game. If I ever saw an announcement for an expansion for this game I would be so happy. Im talking about an expansion that is almost as long as the game. Please consider it.

What hasn't been mentioned already? I'll try and fit some things in:

-The classes and specializations. Simple facts: mages are for the most part, overpowered in about anything they do. Archery was lackluster on your end but simply annoying on the other. Turns out warriors can adapt to the damage role that rogues are known for just as easily and have higher survivability. Some specializations were just for kicks and not for any real use, like Ranger and Shapeshifter. Feel free to disagree but this is just my opinion. I want more variety as well within the classes. It's what mods are for but hey, I when stuff are official.

-Day/Night/Weather/Environment system- If an early game like Orcarina of Time can pull this off, then I'm more than sure that a game published more than a decade later can easily do the same. Weather would also be nice; it would also make for really good tactical issues like heavy fog making it harder for classes to hit, yet it would be extremely beneficial to rogues. Another example would be positioning your troops in water; making them somewhat more resistant to fire, yet at the same time, making them extremely vulnerable to a Cone of Cold.

-Transitioning some of the old plot points- I'm writing something about one of the subplots as a fanfic (cause I'm obsessed fanboy but whatevs); more specifically the City Elf Origin in Denerim, near the climax of the game (it's spoiler related so can't really expand much except say it has to do with slavery; City Elf players know what I'm talking about), but I'd like to see Bioware pick up on this and implement every little detail. This and specific quests based on origin/class.

-More regions. This game has so much lore. Orlais, Tevinter, Antiva, Anderfels... not saying it has to go in all at once but yeah.

-Items: Not just weapons (a lot more designs would be nice. I was disappointed with a lot of the weapon/armor appearances), but useable items. More trap varieties, physical damage based grenades like shrapnel, the ability for items to combo like magic (like seriously, you would've thought grease traps and fire trap/grenades would've set stuff on fire as well).

-Animations- not really big on this one since I was fine with it but it'd be really amusing if we got something like a bow user pulling off a finisher in the style of Legolas and that elephaunt in The Return of the King.

-MORE PUZZLES. Part of the gem of RPGs are puzzles. I was satisfied (well, more annoyed) with the only non-DLC puzzle in the game and more than thrilled with the DLC puzzle since it was based off a classic. You guys could take a leaf out of LoZ and use puzzles like those.

I'm out of ideas for now.

heres my wishlist

1) shorter longswords: seriously, why not have the kind of 2h swords that most people used, you know the ones youre so fond of using in the cinematics but wouldnt give us in game, yeah them.

2) better video compression: dont cheap out on us bioware PLEASE!! put the game on multiple discs next time so that the game can look pretty :)

3) more aesthetic options in terms of armor: especially leather armor. seriously I've only seen 1 variation of leather armor and that was just taking the same armor set and removing the SLEEVES.... rly bioware?

4) Racism: okay now dont freak out and think something other than what I'm typing. Racism is something that adds flavor and realism to a story, especially in an environment where everyone hates each other, I was extremely surprised that you couldnt treat everyone who isnt your race (ie: if your human, you treat the dalish, etc. with disdain) as though they are less than pond scum.

and finally
5) cutscene like conversations simmilar to mass effect.

this sounds like a good idea, though the first part sounds a bit too much like ME2 for my tastes

How about a target cycle hotkey too choice who you attack?

Instead of pausing the game then having too find your target with a mouse

*Weather
*Make nightmare level harder
*Day/Night system
*Character choices put into consideration
*Combat system (I'm tired of clicking and waiting)
*Random events (If Runescape can do it, so can you)
*Free roam (As stated previously, I want to travel a bit, have fun)
*Raise level cap. (Seriously, 25? Why can't it be 35 D:)
*Textures (I play at 1920x1080, make it a BIT more HD please)
*Co-op (PLEASE GOD. PLEASE)
*More classes
*MOAR MORRIGAN PLOX
*Mounts
*Dungeons
*Armor
*Weapons

Nothing else comes to mind atm.

I'd like to say this though, Dragon Age: Origins is the BEST RPG I've played. I've played many, many games too, mind you. Warcraft, Final Fantasy, D&D, etc. From what I've seen and heard from my own ears and eyes, the lore is AMAZING in this game, the story is amazing, the gameplay is amazing, the graphics are nice. :P

Good job Bioware, keep it up. =]

Voiced protagonist.

Please.

It's the one major drawback for me in the story presentation. I get that this is the successor to BG, and BG didn't have a voiced protagonist, but it also didn't have massive amounts of cinematic dialogue. It takes away from the experience when the bad guy gets to make a dramatic speech while my guy is completely, utterly mute. It's like taking the courtroom scene from A Few Good Men, except Jack Nicholson's dialogue is not voiced, just conveyed in subtitles. "I WANT THE TRUTH," shouts Tom Cruise...and then a little subtitle reads "you can't handle the truth!"

I was very spoiled by Commander Shepard in Mass Effect (my favorite BW RPG). :)

1. More types of armor and weapons...there are very very few models of armors, and every armor of a type(light armor, massive, heavy) look just like a reskined or retextured armor varying by color depending on material...

2.maybe it's too late but I would want my PC to have a voice... yes I think it's too late but it's worth trying...

3.To continue from the end of dragon age origins...or at least to continue with the same character I played in Dragon age origins

Adding some additional stuff:

1. More realism. Yes I know it's a fantasy game and bla bla bla, but some things really annoy you because they're just so ridiculous. Like the whole thing about wearing your swords on the back. A dual-wielding rouge is supposed to be an agile and dexerious fighter, but try yourself to dodge a blow with two stiff metalsticks strapped to your back. Or try to pull them out quickly, it's gonna be a real challenge I promise you. There is a reason why people have always had their weapons on the side, the only time it would be correct to have them on your back is when it's a bow or something like a greatsword.

Another very unrealistic thing that really bothers me is the stupid shape on some weapons. Look for example on the sword held by the guy on the "Return to Ostagar"-page. Who the h*ll would every choose to fight with that blade? It's one of the most impractical swords I have ever seen. This is not anime so you can't have ridicolous design on the equipment. Nobody would use a sword shaped like... I dunno what it's shaped like but nobody would ever use it. When you design a weapon, try to simluate how you yourself would fight with it. A sword is meant to be used as both a stabbing and slashing weapon, not as a blugeonging thing. That desing is more fit for a club or mace.

*Skipped a few pages.

One suggestion I have in mind is invisible walls. I know it's an RPG, and most likely it's there to prevent bigs and glithces, BUT.. Some places deserve the removal of invisible walls, and deserve to be explored :( .

1) Main character to talk. I know it might break player immersion or whatever but right now it's so strange, having one person talking and replying to nothing - ME and ME2 have it, why not DA:O?

2) More diverse armour, especially leather ones and robes

3) More character customisation, body-wise, not just face

My suggestions to DAO 2:

- 5 or 6 party member limit

- bigger cities (Denerim is a village compared to Baldur's Gate or Athlathka), I mean, if I look at the city map, I see that Denerim is a huge city, but the areas are too small. Some district only appeares as a house (Pearl).

- day and night cycle: it adds to the atmosphere

- more classes: I really miss the old times, when you could choose froom a dozen classes. Now you only have three. Of course there are the specializations, but those are not real classes, they just give the character 3-4 new skills and some attribute modifiers. In NWN, these were called prestige classes.

- a few more companions. In DAO, Bio did a great job, and made some pretty interesting characters, but I would like to see some more people in the next game.

- MULTIPLAYER (no need for explanation here)

I have another. I'd like to see the addition of Mage orientated armour. Instead of relying on Chantry robes of Warrior armour, shouldn't Mage's be allowed their own set of armour?

Nothing magnificent, but something that separates them from other armours.

I'd like to see a bigger variety of creatures. Such as golem, treants, unicorns, minotaurs, elementals. etc. Maybe even have them as a party member. I also realize that treants and golems were in the game but more variations of them with different abilities. Many more side quests.

Perhaps more realistic architecture would help the "immersion". You should be able to tell special places and ordinary places apart. Special places shouldn't be just stretched ordinary ones. Each should be more realistic in their form.

And outside places should also convey more of a feeling of a larger world, as if those areas, like a city area or a stretch of country, take in a natural chunk of a precreated whole. Or you might say: make it still more invisible that it was created by help of a toolset.

And perhaps this would also help make fights less of a grind because there would be certain confines. As always, just personal suggestions.

That you are going to use your power. I had hoped from the beginning at this game that when the game was close to end you could use your power. Then at last you get the rank of Cansler. I don't remember how to spell it but you know and I had hoped that you could play more and use your power to rebuild the country and things like that and of cource it ended. I'm tired of beginning at start again and again. In Dragon age: Origins 2 you are going to continue play from Dragon age: Origins 1 and you are able to use your power. Not to play as a new charracter. Or well you can choose it but you don't have to.

1. Up to date GFX
2. No console version, keep it PC for better gameplay options.
3. Pausing not a posibility while in a hostile situation
4. Open world system, so you litterally can walk from your current place to eg. denerim
5. Horses/Griffons for use as in as above.
6.many more elite bosses to fight.
7. Multiplayer options, if not for the singleplayer campaigns then at least as an option for playermade worlds/campaigns
8. I wanting to make DLCs make it worthwhile gettting them, not just some stupid item or armor or whatever, make it content that would last at least 15 hours per DLC for a reasonable cost.

The possibility to choose between good and evil.

Being evil in RPGs usually just mean that you have to decline all quests you are offered and you have to kill everyone if possible. Why can't I join the bad guys? Of course this would require a lot more story with all the dialogues, cut scenes and quests, which means a lot more work and longer production time.

In Oblivion I wanted to join the evil cult bud I was forced to be on the good side. Even the quest chain of Dark Brotherhood eventually forced me to be the good guy who saves the day. Roleplaying an evil guy only meant that I declined every quest by being rude to the NPCs and had a bounty on my head. The bounty didn't mean much either, I just had to kill a random guard every now and then.

1. Agreed
2. Agreed
3. Making it a hack 'n slash? Yes, they could also replace all skills with just one Attack skill that can be spammed by pressing spacebar. The faster you press the more damage you do. A Defend skill would be unlocked at max level. Sounds fun?
4. Agreed, though I liked it this way too.
5. Agreed.
6. Agreed.
7. If it can be made well, then yes. Otherwise they shouldn't waste time for this.
8. Agreed.
