I disagree. Thedas is a huge, rich, world and there's so much left to discover, I believe there's plenty of room for some new baddies. Even in DA:O there was a nice variety of villains to fight against. I won't complain if the darkspawn show up again in DA2, and to be honest it seems quite likely, but I would welcome a change.
But he/she was making it sound like darkspawn should have nothing to do with DAO:2. That WOULD kill a lot of purpose of the Grey Wardens. I am also open to change, but if they erase the darkspawn then it is killing a huge part of the series. If anything, they should open up the Qunari to lead another war against Ferelden. I am interested in seeing how Sten "will return the favor for the task to help him find his personal sword."

In Baldur's Gate, some of the companions hated each other so much that they ended up fighting like with Minsc and Edwin or Keldorn and Viconia. They kind of had that with Alistair and Loghain but it's just not the same thing. Hopefully, there will be some real rivalry between party members in DA 2.
It would also be great to have the opposite of companion rivalry. They could have companion friendships. It would be interesting if you could make your companions work more closely with each other and there could be bonuses or penalties with your party members based on how much they like each other. They could also make it so that you can end rivalries between your companions.
KotoR 2 had a nice system where you could turn your companion either towards the light or dark side. It would be nice if in DA 2 if you could actually change a companion's personality and how they think rather than simply trying to gain their approval.
In NWN 2, there were a few encounters where you could resolve the situation differently based on which companion you had. Most of the time, it was with Qara and you had the option of letting her blow things up to create a distraction.
DoW2: Chaos Rising had an interesting system where your party members would ask you to be on certain missions and if you don't take them with you then they get pissed off and turn towards Chaos. They could have something like that in DA 2 where your companion insists on going on a certain quest and if you don't take them then they'll get angry and betray you.

Hopefully before we go into the sequel and onto new lands, new faces, new story.
MORE PUZZLES please, I really enjoy them.
Most of all continue and finish off (no loose threads unless its a cliffhanger) the Origins campaign.
Some of us would dearly love to know what the fate of our wardens, is, was, will be ..whatever.
Awakening was a detour, Darkspawn Chronicles was standalone, this upcoming dlc for Leiliana, is about her in her younger days, nothing to do with any kind of impact on the ending of Origins.
Don't know how much good it does posting...this stuff, as I am entirely convinced it gets ignored.

Why would DA: 2 have to be based around the Grey Wardens? Even it is based around them you don't need the darkspawn for it to be a good story. I mean there are 100's of years in between blights Grey Wardens obviously do other things.

I don't think I'm the pervert here. I'm not the one that wants more sex scenes in a video game. I'm not the one that wants to be able to frak multiple people at the same time in a video game.

It would have to be about the Grey Wardens if DAO:2 covered another Blight. Otherwise, it all depends.

2. More variation in armor, weapon models. Seriously, All the types of armor in the game were pretty much the same model just in a different skin.

1. YESSSS!! YESSS!!!! RAAAAAAAAWWWWRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!! REPTAR WANT OPEN WORLD!!!!
2. Would be nice. It didn't necessarily bother me, but then again my character is a Warrior. They certainly need to make rogue and mage armor sets look more unique, I'll give you that. Too many "Tier 7" looks for most awesome rogue sets. Also, they should invest in specialization armor sets, like making an Arcane Warrior armor set that is actually heavy or massive armor with a few magic bonuses. They should make either one or two really awesome armor sets for each specialization really.

-Overall story slightly generic and predictable
-Difficulty slightly unbalanced at first: First areas were pretty hard, later on it got easier.
Then again, there were also some really frustrating game-mechanics:
-Combat-Tactics ARE REALLY FRUSTRATING. You simply cannot program a Combat AI that works for almost all fights. And I don't want to have to reprogram the tactics every 2nd fight. It just causes frustration when you want your character to do something while controlling another, just to have the AI kick in and do something completely different.
-Instead allow the player to decide which abilities the AI is allowed to use (set them to auto-cast) and which ones should be limited to the player. Make character control closer to what an RTS game is like.
-Inventory management is terrible in almost all Bioware games. I'm sorry, but you guys just don't seem to ever get it right (ME 2 was ok I guess, not that it had much of an inventory).
-Less "trash" items and less "trade-skill" stuff that clogs up your inventory. Their practical applications were always rather limited as well.
-Allow items to be shifted between characters that aren't in the party. Allow a puffer slot or two for shifting items in between characters, even if the inventory is full.
-Less "passive" stances. Incl. Awakening, some characters could have 15 or more different "stances" to activate. While choices are good, you can only have so many useful ones at once, while the rest become redundant. Make stances more meaningful but less of them.
-Make poisons function like stances as well, rather than needing to be manually applied every so often.
-I know many people always want more, but I think a party of 4 is a good and balanced size. Since every character should be unique, I think something along 7-10 characters should suffice.
-Make specialisations more meaningful: Next to some passive bonuses they should also grant you access to unique gear and quests. Not much, but a little to set yourself apart. And again, quality > quantity.

-New races, locations, enemies,
-Alot more spells, *Elemental(like Air, Water, ect) *Demonic(summoning demons, demonic powers & possible transformations like Shapeshifting) *Blood Magic & Dark Arts(And what I mean by that, I mean think of better Blood spells... seriously, the Blood Magic spells were pathetic)
-Improved Graphics, Physics and Game Engine overall
-Alot more fluid, connecting and satisfying battle animations/finishes
-A skill where you can fight more than 1 opponent *From 2 to 3, and when your character is fighting it shows
-Diversity and variety in Armor and Weapons
-Not too many new Origins, like maybe 2 or 3 is sufficient, *4 if you're creative and it fits well in the game
-In Awakening you had a side quest of bringing materials to Wade so he can construct items like armor and weapons for you, *more of this
- Mini-games, *like games with mounts
-Similar quests like the one revolving on upgrading the Normandy, or in this case upgrading the Fort
- Choices have strong consequences and radifications *to your surrounding world and the people with you and around
-Alot more outcome positions for your character *like actually becoming a King, a Tyrant, a warlord, a legendary warrior, ect.
-Alot more happening on screen, more action, more characters on screen
-More quests for Aftermath *Meaning after you complete the game and finished the Main Storyline, some quests can be unlocked only after you completed the game
-In-Depth characters and emotional connetions to them
-Remember the final battle at the end, when you had armies at your disposal *More of that, much larger and dynamic

- It'd be nice if it was a changing/random location
- would like the layout to be different from time to time
- would like to put my character into tent to sleep/somehow get day and night cycles.
- A storage chest would be nice
- I was surprised by the different Dog conversations, that was fun.
2) Combat
- I really enjoyed the combat system
- I did not enjoy the *endless* Deep Roads, and that's the reason I would never replay the game.
- I'd like to see Rogue get beefed up a little bit - I find that archery cannot compare to the sword.
3) Map
- Finding locations would be great too, perhaps on your way somewhere you find a market place, inn, etc. It doesnt always have to be an attack, does it?
4) Character Interactions
- One of the most indepth I've ever played, probably *the* most!
- Would like to see flirting continue after consumation of the relationship - sort of silly that everything just stops there.
- more than 1 "romance scene" please.
- I'd like to see the cast back
- I'd definitely hope to see same sex romance back as well!!
- I'd love to hear my own voice, but there's so much dialogue that I get why its not there.
5) Moral Choices
- I'd like to see more tough moral judgements. Not everything is black and white. I enjoyed killing connor.
