Yep, that was a good one, closely followed by "we fight, or we die".Filament wrote...

The entire opening section.
This. After playing the demo I was like "this just can't be the whole beginning of ME3!". Then I remembered the DA2 demo...
Well, probably the first moment I began to fear ME3 wouldn't be what I'd hoped for was when I saw this picture of some weird new female character, who the caption told me was supposed to be Ash...

Overall however, I would have to say the fact that you have to play the game for at least an hour or two before you get any sense of being able to explore the galaxy.
And this differs from the other games.... how?
Remember how in ME1, you started a new character and were free to roam about the galaxy without having to go to Eden Prime and the Citad... oh.
Remember how in ME2, you imported your character and were free to roam about the galaxy without having to go through the Cerberus base and Freedom's Progre... oh.
Hmm.
Hey, remember Kotor where you could explore the game after...oh wait, Taris and the Jedi Accademy.
Hey, remember in Dragon Age where you started your character and could explore the world without having to do the Prologue and Ostaga... oh.
Well, actually in ME1, you have to go to Eden Prime first. then back to the Citadel and then you can do the main quests in whatever sequence you like. Pretty much the same in ME2. There's a distinct path of progression in ME3. It's a lot more linear. That kind of bugs me.

"You must have had your reasons."
"Yeah, I guess I did."
The whole meeting with the committee.
Liara, asking why Shepard is on Mars. Uh, because you might know something about this Mac, er prothean weapon thing.
Shepard on Mars, asking why Cerberus is there.

Yes and standing together.
So stand together without strategy or tactics to fight or die. What???

You're perfectly entitled to liking ME3, what I was calling pointless was the tremendous amount of hyperbole you employed in doing so.
Additionally I wonder why you call yourself Scepsis, as skepticism seems to be in scarce supply with you. Perhaps change your name to Kool-Aid.
1. Then why post insulting me?
2. A "scepsis" is a philosophical disbelief (I'm an atheist, hence the name). It has nothing to do with skepticism, hence the difference in spelling. Berating my username as another troll-esque tactic is funny though.
I see you have ran out of witty retorts.

Not directed at you. Sorry for the vagueness.
Cthulhu42 is asking "how is it irony" because you misued the word.
"hypocrisy" would be a more suitable word for the point you are trying to make.

The entire beginning felt strange, but I didn't notice how bad the auto-dialog was until Menae. Something about Shepard making a speech to Primarch Victus about how they need the turian fleets to help Earth while Palaven is burning in the background really bothered me, and it only got worse after the Citadel Coup and Kai Leng's introduction.
Oh the whole idea that other people should just leave their worlds to burn in order to get to Earth got to me right away. This was about the galaxy, then it's not-it's about Earth, nope it's about London. TIM should have been really proud.

Also forgot the brat. IMO Vancouver was the worst mission. Only the last cutscene made the Reapers invasion tangible. Too bad I was only spectator at that moment. I played it only when I imported another of my Sheps. For me the game starts at Priority Mars.
Come to think of it, they managed to scr*w up the beginning and the end of the game. The most important parts. Kudos to them.

Yes the whole opening as a setting for the story was awful. The dialogue was horrid. The kid was horrid-as if Shepard needed the kid to put a face on the problem. Even if you had not played ME1 or 2, the sight of those things stomping all over people and dead people of the committee would be sufficient. No, we got dumb dialogue from the kid, too.
"You can't help me." Yes, kids would say that with monsters walking around. How about, "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" or "Where's my mom?" or "HEEEELLLLLP!" or catatonia

Ok disbelief or doubt is skepticism. To doubt something is to be skeptical. So scepsis is both philosophical doubt and skepticism.
Not to get involved here and it'd be nice for everyone to be civil.
