Yes the whole opening as a setting for the story was awful.  The dialogue was horrid.  The kid was horrid-as if Shepard needed the kid to put a face on the problem.  Even if you had not played ME1 or 2, the sight of those things stomping all over people and dead people of the committee would be sufficient.  No, we got dumb dialogue from the kid, too.

"You can't help me."  Yes, kids would say that with monsters walking around.  How about, "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" or "Where's my mom?" or "HEEEELLLLLP!" or catatonia

- Alliance needs Shep's help to gather allies and resources.
- Turians need Shep's help to get the Krogans support.
- Krogans need Shep's help to cure the genophage.
- Geth and Quarians need Shep's help to end a 300 years old war.
- Council needs Shep's help to unify the Galaxy.
- Catalyst needs Shep's help to find a new solution.
- The Kid: "Nope, you can't help me."

Ok disbelief or doubt is skepticism.  Not to get involved here and it'd be nice for everyone to be civil.

Not directed at one person but does every thread have to end up with people at each other?

No vitriol intened.
I just figured I'd know the meaning of my own handle.
I don't need edjucated in that department.

Oh, really now?

You linked me to a whole slew of defintions.  I think you wanted to single out the "Scepsis = doubt philosophy?"
(doubt and skepticism are pretty interchangeable).
Perhaps English is not your first language? learning experience!

Cthulhu42 is asking "how is it irony" because you misued the word.

"hypocrisy" would be a more suitable word for the point you are trying to make.

Lolno. You'd be wrong once again.

I'm pretty sure I am not wrong. I think you are just being a big ol' silly bean.

It very well is.
What's your point here?
Calling one's own self... whatever the hell your handle is... implications unpleasant.

On my first playthrough, I didn't get a full 'hang on' moment until I hit that magic elevator at the end. Like others, I was still riding the ME3 high. But I did have a vague, nagging confusion the whole time as to why I was getting beaten over the head with the whole organics vs synthetics thing through out the game. Now that the high is thoroughly extinguished, I have nothing but 'hang on' moments when trying to play again.

Ok disbelief or doubt is skepticism.  To doubt something is to be skeptical.  So scepsis is both philosophical doubt and skepticism.

Not to get involved here and it'd be nice for everyone to be civil.

"Not directed at one person but does every thread have to end up with people at each other?"

I think it's pretty inevitable on internet forums. But I was just trying to be helpful! The original quote in question made sense to me.

Whether in game or out of the game, I reject anything as inevitable or impossible.  :o

And he disappears into the vents without a sound. Liara and the Cerberus Troopers on Mars however make plenty of noise. Something's not right here...

I do not know if others may agree with me but one my moments was when I found out Cerberus and TIM were against me.

My Shepard was on good terms with TIM and agreed with him a lot in ME2, but was confused as to why he and Shepard were mortal enemies all of a sudden. Either Bioware had no idea on what to do with him and Cerberus in ME3 or they did not do a good enough job explaining or showing why he was against Shepard.

So why would The Illusive Man spend billions of credits to bring back one man/woman only to fued with them later? I just felt like the writing team murdered his character in ME3. He could have been done much better justice.

Just my thoughts.
