I was playing fine, imported my Sheperd into ME2.
Got to Illium and whenever I go into one particular hallway the screen goes black and I have sound. Have to CTRL-ALT-DEL out of it.
Read all the posts about this.
I have ALL the DLC installed.
I installed the latest NVIDIA driver from 296.10 up to 306.42 and it still does it.
So now I reinstalled the game and all the DLC except Shadow Broker and have to start from scratch because the save game knows Shadow Broker is missing.
The game was playing flawlessely on my system until Illium where the Shadow Broker takes place so I assume this is causing the crash. I have not had a chance to go through all of it yet to get to Illium to see if it will crash without Shadow Broker installed.
Here are my specs:

Is Shadow Broker causing Illium black screen?

Sounds like a corruption with the installation of Shadow Broker or with the SB executable/files. Try going to Illium to see if the game still crashes without that DLC. You might also want to try downloading a new copy of SB.
Out of curiosity, have you tried changing up your squadmates before doing anything related to the SB DLC? That or a clean install with new squadmates may help. You could try running the game with only 2 cores active, rather than 4.
I've never had this issue, but then I've not used a 64-bit system yet. But if one taking a game designed to run on a 32-bit OS and playing it on a 64-bit OS is the issue, why does your other DLC (and the rest of the game itself) work fine? It makes me doubt that your OS has anything to do with the problem. It's too bad so many people run into bugs with this particular DLC, cause it's a good one.

Thanks Tancred. I have done all of the above. It is a known issue with Illium and SB. I plan on finishing the game then trying it again.

I'm running ME2 with the LoTSB DLC on Windows 7 64bit Home Premium and I get a very similar crash ans you do, the ony difference is I don't get a black screen, instead I get ME2 has failed responding error message and go back to the desktop. You will need to play ME2 in borderless windowed mode in order to stop the crash on that corridor on Illium.

Thanks! I will try that after I finish the game. I'll make a save so I can go back to it. Appreciate it!
