So, let's start like they did with the Krysae, by nerfing the classes like Destroyer, GI, TS, HS, and then after a bit a Tactical cloak nerf that affects all shotguns. All of the 'caster' classes will still have a very good weapon to use with little effect to their power cooldowns, so they can spam those also.

After the stats roll in and show that 50% of the players are still carrying the weapon, Bioware will nerf it slightly, then nerf it out of existence.

I love it, sign me up!

Take off your tinfoil hat.

It's not actually a tinfoil hat when you discuss what happened in the past as an example. You can't have it both ways, either it is only OP on a small group of classes or it is OP in general. If you agree with Air Quotes that it is OP on Destroyers and GI only, then I guess we need to balance those classes. You've argued in my thread that it is not OP unless you use mods and certain classes, so you must agree with Air Quotes, yes?

But then you said his idea was bad, so you must not agree with him.....hmm, it sounds kind of like you flip your feelings on the subject around depending on who you are arguing with.

These suggestions are bad, and you should feel bad

I argued that the gun is balanced on the majority of the classes.

I argued that your test was flawed, because you were using consumables to hide the flaws of the weapon, fighting on the smallest map to showcase all of the strengths, and none of the weaknesses, while only fighting the grunts and one boss from the easiest faction.

I agree that the gun is OP when used on a Destroyer/GI/Tsol, but I think his solution is garbage. There have been better suggestions posted already. There is no "flipping my feelings on the subject around", you just overlooked, and misinterpreted my stance.

Funny, but unsurprising.

I can't overlook your stance, because you never take one. You remain deliberately vague so that you can skip around as necessary to suit whatever outlook you want to toss out.

Then blame your lack of reading comprehension skills, as I have made my stance blatantly obvious in this god-awful thread, and just about every post in your very own nerf whine thread.

I'm fine with not fixing anything. Real nerfers and Bioware will "FIX" them. And then you will QQ when weapons are made useless and characters are made useless.

Piranha nerf today, Harrier tomorrow, Typhoon later. And this will continue on and on.

So your answer to unnecessary "fixes" is to proprose more unnecessary fixes.

/facepalm

Starchild would be so proud of you.

I don't even see GIs that often anymore, let alone one with a shotgun build since most people don't know to use him efficiently. Leave them be.

Powers are on cooldowns, weapons are not.

So increase the weight, make it a burden on cooldowns and the ability to set off BE's and TB's every couple of seconds.  The Destroyer is a mobile weapons platform.  He should make all guns awesome.  (not just AR's like you seem to want)

When the N7 character "shinyness" wears off you'll see em back. Especially on Gold/Platinum.

Okay lemme give you another example

Let's say Bioware wants to add AT-12 Raider to the multiplayer. How can they go about it when we have GI's and Destroyers?

They will both make it into an even more damaging 2 shot Claymore sniper rifle. And everyone will use it on them. And get it nerfed.

Hey it's still good on a GI and Destroyer even after nerf. But useless on something like Batarian. People still use on GI's and Destroyers. So it gets nerfed AGAIN. But it's still okay on them, while dead on a Batarian.

Do you understand that? It's AN INFINITE LOOP of NERFING.

For the destroyer, reducing their damage bonuses and increasing their rate of fire bonuses would make them stronger, but more specialized. They would need to use more rate of fire oriented weapons, and they would have to deal with more recoil as well. Making them more a master of Machine guns then anything else.

Yeap. I think one of the possible solutions to constant weapon nerfs is to make weapon classes more specialized to certain types or origins of guns.

That would be cool.

Paticularly, the next weapon class should be one with a large, weapon specific ability, then a large number of support skills.

Imagine a sentinal, with an ability which gives a large accuracy bonus alongside a stability bonus, with supply pylon, and some sort of biotic attack (Throw or biotic bubble?.) They would be an excellent Submachinegun and Shotgun class, with abilities that are a massive total party buff.

I don't want to point my finger at anything, however, soldiers (as stated by the game from the 1st part to the 3rd) are proficient users of all weapon types :?.

No one would stopping them from using any other gun. It's just they would be aces with AR's and above average with anything else.

I wouldn't mind that change to the geth. Seems reasonable. Though I think that messes up the Geth Engineer a bit.

But that Destroyer suggestion? No. No, no, no, no, no. No.

Edit: That thing mentioned about increasing RoF and decreasing damage. That I see being a possible change. Encourages the use of slower weapons i'd think though. This is also asuming he's meant to handle a specific type of weapon instead of being a master (above average) with all.

proficient means they are aces with all the weapons.
