There's a difference there.
Mass Effect 1 is great. Sure, its obvious that things like Callistan and Eden Prime were really cut back, but it doesn't impact the narrative flow and ete.
Mass Effect 3's leaked script was bad, but it was a draft. Mass Effect 3, the finished product, was bad and we payed $80 or more for it...

Things from the leaked script I'm really sad didn't make the cut/were changed.Arken wrote...
- There was going to be an actual trial. The hearing was supposed to be a witch hunt. The Reapers were still considered a myth by everyone in the galaxy.
- Javik was originally meant to be the Catalyst. He was unnamed at the time, and simply called the Prothean. It's implied he looked human enough that Shepard thought he was a Cerberus soldier who had gone rogue.
- It was meant to be made clear that Udina was indoctrinated, and had no real control over his actions.
- Kasumi was supposed to be an important character in the Cerberus coup, and was meant to help Shepard learn of the coup before it happens. Kolyat would have been the reason Shepard was on the Citadel, because he needed help to convince the Council to protect Kahje. Shepard, Kausmi, and Thane were supposed to be a team that overcame various puzzle obstacles as they raced to stop an indoctrinated Udina. Thane would have fought past Cerberus soldier to kill Udina. Thane would have died right after that, and had his last rites performed. It is implied Kolyat would have been there to say goodbye to his father.
- Jacob wasn't supposed to have gotten Cole pregnant. Her name wasn't even Cole. Kenesia, Cole's original name, was just his ex-girlfriend. It's implied that Jacob's romance could still be continued. If Jacob wasn't in a romance then he and Kenesia would discuss their past, and even the future.
- Emily Wong was meant to be in the game, and she was working with Khalisah Al-Jilani. The two of them would have accompanied Shepard throughout the Citadel to find evidence of Cerberus corruption. They would have recorded Shepard's actions, and shown it to the public.
- The fight with Kai Leng on Thessia wouldn't have ended with the gunship blowing Shepard away. The prothean artifact was making the roof collapse, and there was a time limit. Either Shepard looses the fight, or holds off Kai Leng until the roof collapse and cause their fight to end abruptly. In other words Kai Leng was willing to fight to the end, and wasn't a chicken.
- There was supposed to be a Harvester boss battle where you fight using turrets.
- There was going to be a Reaper enemy called a Pariah.
- It was also considered that instead of the queen being there regardless of Shepard's choice, the rachni would have been produced by a Reaper husk called the Breeder. It's implied that the Breeder is not the rachni queen Shepard saved, and there is no choice of whether the Breeder lives or dies. Shepard must kill it.
- Harbinger wasn't supposed to blast Shepard. Instead a Harvester was going to knock Shepard to the ground as s/he raced to the beam. Shepard's squadmates provide Shepard with coverfire, and tell Shepard to go to the beam without them.- Anderson was meant to be with Shepard on the way to the control panel. As in physically beside him. Anderson and Shepard would notice something strange happening to them once they reached the control panel, and suddenly realize they have their guns pointed at each other.
- In other words, there was originally a logical explanation why Shepard was not accompanied up to the beam. Apparently Bioware instead decided to have Harbinger have a cameo instead. This caused for an inconsistency in drafts where in one draft the squad had a logical reason for not being with Shepard, and in the other... they didn't. This was fixed as best as Bioware could in the Extended Cut.
- Elcor Homeworld assignment
All this would have been awesome and much better. //Time restrictions FTW!!!! sarcasm off

OP why did you miss out that? Control, Destroy, and Synthesis are all in the leaked files, and so is the Catalyst except called the Guardian.
To clarify, the point you deliberately missed out was Synthesis.

His name is jimmy. James is a known nickname for jimmy. Like Bob is a nickname for robert. Garrus even calls him jimmy during a conversation between them in the normandy.Arken wrote...

I'm really happy that was cut.
- It was meant to be made clear that Udina was indoctrinated, and had no real control over his actions.
This too, I don't see the point making him indoctrinated.
- Obviously the scenario where Shepard is forced to choose between the Virmire Survivor and Liara.
For those who played through ME1 this would be just repeating Virmire scenario. Also, considering how bleak ME3 is already, I think this would have been really overdoing it.
- The rachni mission, which appears to be the same, would have ended with Grunt sacrificing himself is Shepard chose to save the rachni queen. Grunt's loyalty did not seem to matter, and he would have died regardless.
I'm bit conflicted about this but in general, with the endings we got I think it's for the better that both can live.

+ Casey said in interview that one of his fav. games is Deus Ex, Figures.

Exactly, but alot of it does sound more epic and dramatic than what we got. It always did seem to me that Javik should have had a more central role in the game, and I guess originally that was the plan, it just didn't fall through

Shepard became one with the reapers was one of the options? Interesting.
That still happens when you choose Control.
True, seems like they merged those 2 options in the final game, with the EC

no doubt bioware has a ton of sp dlc planned, alot of this stuff may have been cut so they could package it with dlc.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't doubt it lol

Are you talking about being "one with the Reapers?" That sounds like Shepard sacrifices only himself to become one with them, not the entire galaxy? I didn't read the entire script though, just what's been posted here

Well, we knew this was inevitable since EA acquired Bioware in '07.

From what I had heard of the leaked script, I always assumed it was pretty bad.
But after reading this, I have to say:
It's STILL better than what we actually got. How on Earth did they manage to make things considerably WORSE?

... I am at a loss for words. If that's what could have been and they decided that the current ME3 was better, then they have set new lows for themselves and in the industry that I previously hadn't thought even existed.
I have always said that I don't think my opinion of Bioware can drop any lower. But I have consistently been surprised!

I think, altogether, the script would've made for a better game.

Thank god this doesnt happen. Not again. The braindead council in Mass Effect 2 was absurd enough.

Rushing things because EA demanded it isn't new. It happened with DA2.

By the name, I guess we may yet see a reworked take on that bit, given what we "know" of the possible "Leviathan" DLC...
