Who says? Had Bio even thought of Irenicus before releasing BG1?
Centeol reveals she was cursed by Irenicus, and Prism tells you he's sculpting a bust of Ellesime.

And Cerberus was experimenting with Reaper tech in ME1.
And the Crucible was hinted and foreshaodwed in "Lair of the Shadow Broker".
Hints leading to ME3.

Reading this and then comparing it to what we got really makes it clear that the game was extremely rushed. It's a shame. A few more months of development was probably all that was needed for this game to be as awesome as we all thought it'd be.
Game was completely rushed hence the glitches and bugs, such a shame as could have been a great game that makes me replay it but instead its crap and will only get 1 playthrough....i blame MP as it took resources which could have went to SP like previous games and yes i know they planned MP for those but point is since ME3 has MP it's that reason SP suffered.

I imagine them asking you about previous decisions, like VS, Collector base, etc. And what they would think and how Shepard would respond. It really sucks it was taken out. Also, the thessia thing sounded pretty interesting.

Please.....
Most of this stuff was just brainstormed and never even was cut.
And let the hypocrisy flow....
Before EA....
Bioware rushed the PC version of KOTOR, rushed Jade Empire, and definitely rushed ME1....please, copy and paste planets, the obvious beta that was the 360 version....
Nevermind the fact that ME3 had the same development time as ME2, nevermind the FACT that it released after its predecessor longer than ME2 was.
And the way they treated the VS here is terribad.
ME3 was a rushed game

That this must have been deliberate. Hanlon* be damned, no one's that incompetent. What does BSN think?
* Hanlon's Razor: Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.
Who cares? The BG series is about the adventures of Charname - you have one threat in BG1, another in BG2, and something new in ToB. That works just fine.Who says? Had Bio even thought of Irenicus before releasing BG1?
The ME series, on the other hand, is about how Shepard stops the Reapers (actually, it's about how Godchild stops the tech singularity, but let's ignore that idiocy for the moment), so you kinda need a plan here. Otherwise, you get a game where the protagonist spends his time dealing with a complete non-threat (ME2 - Reapers would have arrived well before the Collectors could have finished Ahnold) and an epic finale that completely undermines the rest of the series (since we can let the Reapers invade and still win, why couldn't we have had it out in ME1?)

Every game/movie is developed by first wiring down odeas and then thinking about what can be done and what can´t be done.
The final product is always a compromise between what was achievable with the given circumstances.

yeah....I was playing ME2 last night and the Crucible is definitely foreshadowed in LotSB(sort of explains why Liara is at the Mars Archives at the beginning of ME3)txgoldrush wrote...

That isn't quite the name she says.
In any event, saying that they had the name of a powerful wizard somewhere in the game-world and saying that they knew that he would be important in BG2, and how, are very different things. But that's my fault for sloppy rhetoric.

Though, I'd like the parts with the reporters and Kai Leng not being a total puss-bag.
Jacob shouldn't have done what he did in the final version of the game either. It felt a little bit like a middle finger to his (few) fans more than anything.
It would have been nice to see Anderson rush into the beam or carry Shepard into it. Then again, the same can be said about how TIM got into the beam, let alone landed unnoticed in the middle of a war zone. Some explanation in general would have been nice.
The galaxy still seeing the Reapers as a myth at the start of ME3 would have just been dumb, considering the overwhelming amount of evidence to the contrary and the trial would have been a waste of time. Much like the meeting with the committee, but at least they were aware of the Reapers.
